Welcome to season 1 :P
So, you know how every single game nowadays is a live service with 'seasonal' updates, battlepasses, and all of that stuff that just got old after literally everyone started doing it?
Well I'm doing it too, ha.
This is not something super strict or serious, it's a silly simple thing really, and to be completely fair the average user probably won't even notice it going on in the background!
Of course, I'm no developer and this isn't a videogame, so, what's this about??
If you've been following me long enough, you saw me attempt this silly little thing long ago. Within my private server, I've actually been doing it for a while, if in a toned down version, kind of.
Lets cut the fluff and explain a bit. The whole "Seasons" thing started like a little gimmicky joke, but after a while I realized it actually helped me a lot in one specific thing: improving my art. Every 'season' I've been focusing on one or a couple specific aspects of my art, and working on improving them consciously. While all of us artists improve with practice and time, I've found that I work better in a more "mechanical" and data-based way, which is to say it's much more efficient for me in terms of bettering my art to focus on specific aspects I want to improve.
Yada yada, that's a lot of talking, here's the important bit:
-Every season comes with "patch notes", which are details and parts of my art that I'm adressing during that season, that way you can know what I'm working on and maybe even start noticing said patches applied to my art!
-Each season will have a broader 'theme' tied to it, sometimes specific, sometimes more abstract.
-Each season will have a themed adoptable, and also a YCH.
-Raffles will be season-themed
-There's no Hyperion premium battlepass, sadly :p
======Season 1: Rebuild========
Season 1 will be focused on 'rebuilding'. Things here and there. From my art style, to the lore and canon of Hyperion and The Neon City.
Patch Notes
-Increased outline thickness for main subjects
-Introduced dynamic outlines. Previously, I would use that same or VERY lightly different brush sizes for all outlines, now there will be more variation in outline thickness within the image and the same subject.
-Added more bumps and curves in character bodies. (Midriffs, thighs, torsos, etc). Previously, many subjects would end up looking flat and even odd. Now bodies should be slightly more interesting.
-Reverted focus back into more 'teen looking' characters. Over time I've realized it's kind of been my niche for a while. While younger looking characters are nice and all, I feel I should focus more in perfecting something I'm good at, instead of trying to push my art into something I never really did too well at.
-Decreased the size of the eyes, in relation to the rest of the head
-Retconned A LOT of written lore and character stories, the current "canon" pool will be deleted as most stuff written there is now obsolete (the images themselves will remain)
-Creating a new canon pool with updated stories, making new posts compiling existing images into a single post with a lenghty lore description. This should make it much, much easier to keep up with the world and lore, without having to scour through tons of old, seemingly disjointed posts.
-Removed herobrine

So, what do yah think?
