“Do you guys want to go outside?” Pierre asks. “There is a playground nearby.”
“Sure, sounds fun,” The others nod.
“All right then,” Pierre smiles. “I’ll put your bags in my room,” He tells Calvin, Leo and Ben.
“D-d-do you ne-need help?” Benjamin asks.
“No I got it,” Pierre says. He takes the two bags towards his room and puts them down. Once does that, he notices a pull-up peeking out of the bag belonging towards. “Huh, one of them wears diapers?” He wonders. He puts it bag, goes to tell his dad about their plan, before going back into the living room. “Are you ready to go?”
“Can I go to the bathroom first?” Calvin asks.
“Sure, you don’t have to ask,” Pierre replies.
“All right,” The weasel says as he makes a run towards the bathroom.
This raises Pierre’s suspicions. “Does anyone else have to go?”
“Nope,” The others reply.
“All right then,” Pierre says as he waits for Calvin to return.
The weasel returns after a little while. “Done,” He says.
“Now we can go,” Pierre says.
“Are you boys going off to the playground?” Peter asked.
“Yes dad,” Pierre nods.
“You know the rules right?” Peter asks his son.
“Yes dad,” Pierre replies. “Don’t go anywhere else, don’t go with strangers, and behave,” He lists, among others.
“Good,” Peter smiles. “Also, would you mind taking Percy with you?”
“No of course not,” Pierre nods, knowing that his friends like hanging out with him.
“Thanks,” Peter smiles. “Have fun boys.”
“Thank you sir,” The others reply.
They then walk towards the front door. “Oh Percy!” Pierre yells out.
“Y-yeah,” The panther says as he approaches them.
“You can go outside with us if you’d like,” Pierre says.
“Really?” Percy’s eyes lit up. “Thank you,” He says as he gives his brother a hug and a lick on the snout.
“Don’t push it!” Pierre sternly says.
“All right Pierre.” Percy let go.
“Now let’s go,” Pierre says.
The group walks a couple blocks towards the nearby playground. It has some swings, a wooden castle with some slides, and a tower made out of rope in which they can climb in.
“So what do you want to do first?” Daniël asks Pierre.
“Maybe tag?” Pierre proposes.
“Sounds good,” The others nod.
“I’ll start,” Pierre says.
“All right,” The others make a run for it, and after five seconds, Pierre starts chasing them, first going after Calvin.
“Catch me if you can!” Calvin teases.
“If you insist!” Pierre chuckles as he continues the unsuccessful chase.
“Given up yet?” Calvin giggles.
The panther growls, before looking for a new target; Benjamin.
The lynx notices being chased, and tries to go faster and faster.
“Almost…” Pierre says as he approaches the cub.
Suddenly, Benjamin trips. “Woah!”
“Are you okay?” Pierre asks.
“Y-yeah,” The lynx nods, before suddenly looking flustered as his ears droop.
“How’d the ground taste?” Leo asks teasingly, before seeing the kitten’s expression. “What’s wrong this time?”
“I-I-I-I….” The lynx starts as he starts to sniffle.
“Are you seriously crying over falling on the ground?!” Leo asks.
“Leave him alone!” Calvin scolds him as he helps the lynx get off the ground. Once he does so, he notices something. “Ben, you’re leaking.”
“I, I, I…. Sowwy.” Benjamin stammers, before bursting into tears.
“I cannot believe what a little baby you are,” Leo starts teasing, but stops when Daniël frowns at him.
“It’s okay,” The brown bear says as he gives the lynx a hug.
Pierre is just baffled. “D-did you go twice in a couple minutes?”
“Sowwy,” Ben sniffles..
“It’s okay, I’m not mad,” Pierre promises. “But do we need to go back?”
“N-no,” Benji replies.
“Are you sure you want to stay in those wet shorts?” Pierre asks. “You can at least take them off,”
“All right,” Ben takes off his shorts, exposing his wet pull-ups, of which the design is mostly faded, with only some car prints visible on the waistband.
“Now Ben, do you still have to go?” Calvin asks.
“N-no, I, I d-d-don’t think so,’ Ben replies.
“All right then,” Daniël says. “I know it is a bit difficult with your condition, but can you try to alert us if you have to go or are going?” He asks, to which the lynx nods.
“So, do you guys want to do something else now?” Pierre asks.
“Maybe hide and seek?” Chester asks.
“Sounds good,” Pierre says. “Anyone wants to be the seeker?”
Percy and Chester raise their hands.
“Anyone that can count to twenty?” Pierre asks.
“I could go,” Calvin says.
“All right then,” The other’s agree.
Calvin starts counting down from the spot he was standing, and the others go into different directions.
Pierre goes to behind a bush, only to see Leo hiding there.
“Hey, I’m here!” The kitten complains, but is hushed by Pierre.
“We can both go here if you’re quiet,” He says.
“All right,” Leo sighs.
Pierre thinks about it for a little while, but decides to ask the question. “So when I put your and your brother’s bag in my room, I noticed something peeking out of it.”
“Really?” Leo asks. “What did you see?”
The panther decided to be blunt. “I saw a diaper in it,” He says. “Does it belong to one of you?”
1, The kitten is honest, and tells him it belongs to him
2, Leo half-lies, and says that it belongs to his brother
