Hellow there and welcome to my first official leak about my game.
In it you can see several things I want to mention:

#1 I have set up a little system, wich changes the sprites of a character when you move around them, or better said when you see them from the sides.
#2 A certain fox is added and also completely cute. There are also some dialog images for her ready.
#3 I made some hand crafted animations for the shooting with the bow. There will be 8 different weapons. 4 distance weapons, and 4 meele weapons with different attributes, making the gameplay more interesting. If anyone manages to guess all 8 weapons before an official confirm, the first gets to be an NPC or an easteregg in the game.
#4 I have added some "enemys" wich are currently just some random tik-tacs having different amount of health. The first one has double the HP of the others. Wich can "vanish" on death by now. I will very likely make something more.
#5 I am currently working on an amunition pickup, wich shouldn't be that problematic.

i hope this little insight of the work, is a nice little upload.

Very cool. The sprites for Megan and Grace look really good in-game, and the bow shooting animation looks fantastic! The overall feel of it, so far, puts me pleasantly in mind of RPGs from the late 90s/early 2000s, like the first couple of Elder Scrolls games. Mostly from the look of the sprites and the way they turn, and the delightfully pixelated look of things. Whether or not that's how it'll be for the finished game, it's a nice little hit of nostalgia.

Shooting the enemies looked like it worked nicely, too, and it's cool that they've already got some differences, like different hit point levels. I'll leave guessing the weapons to other people, to be fair, but thanks for sharing your progress on the game and I'm already excited for it!

actually the game is inspired by Doom 1993. So I want it to be a shooter game. But with a higher focus on close combat where shooting is very limited by amunition.
Then my next big inspiration is ocarina of Times, with a open world, where dungeons are. It IS in TQFQ after all. I want to make Madlaines town, and her brothel like the main hub and you have to explore a limited detailed world and actually find the dungeons. Outside of town and dungeons I will have some stray enemys. Not very dangerous, but at least something to stay aware. And in the dungeons are more harder enemys. There you can find treasures to buy weapons, amunition and armor for Madlaine. The main goal will be to just have fun for now.

Aha, I ought to have clarified that I just meant it captured much the same look and feel, as I wasn't sure as to the precise genre. But Doom works, too. One of those lovely old games that didn't have the slick graphics we do today, but which was super duper fun to play. Speaking of, your description of the gameplay sounds like a lot of fun, too! It sounds like a fun blend of FPS and old school action RPG with the dungeon exploration elements, and very cool all around.

I never was much good at FPS games, but I have fond memories of DOOM.

exactly that was my intend. A few months ago I bought the first doom for a buck or so and I enjoyed it more than most of those high end games. And honestly, except for sound, I can pull off such a game myself. So here I am. Pulling it off. Slow and steady!

i do enjoy the original doom and its 2016 game still yet to play doom eternal and im very excited for doom the dark ages
