It is dangerous to go alone, it was a worry Ion's mother had when his father suggested that Ion and Flint go to the yearly Fox-Dragon Festival by themselves, though Ion's father protested, even giving Ion the family sword for the night as 'protection' to quell his mother's fears. It would indeed proved to be useful for when the two boys were ambushed on the way back from the Fox-Dragon Festival wanting the priceless artifact Ion carried on his back, though nervous Ion remembered his vow, taking that sword in hand and profoundly stating "I will protect!" as he took a defensive stance in front of a worried Flint as the attackers laughed at Ion's 'futility' though what they did not understand is just what that sword is and what it would be in Ion's hands, the future Yggdrasil's hands.....
