"Pride" is not traditionally a good or positive word. It means "unreasonable self-esteem" and the entire "Pride" movement is basically a trap designed to harm the participants. Not everyone is an artist who draws and creates. I would never risk such a thing at a school here, that could get you in serious trouble and even cause issues with the police. I'm impressed~! I read this book called "The Language Crystal" and that sort of sparked my interest and a sort of intrinsic recognition of most languages (in writing only, English alphabet only). Otherwise, I only speak English and learned some Spanish in school and from all the people coming here to be honest.

I can understand Spanish but I had classes, and combined with The Language Crystal, I was able to use that to learn to understand French and Portuguese, and to a lesser extent German and Italian. I can't understand any of the Asian languages due to the major alphabet letter difference, but you writing it like that with English letters, I might be able to start to figure it out, but it's still a lot different than if the language was actually written (in it's common use) with mostly English letters. The Language crystal is partly about language development over time and the author's ideas about the origin of each letter and each letter's specific meaning.

I live a life here in the USA and the media is vastly different from the reality I live in. That's what I know and have seen. I worked in-person the entire lockdown, and that was when I stopped watching the news. Besides, companies like News Corp, Disney and Conde Nast own all of the smaller "networks."
