my original species, snufflets:

snufflets are a artificial species mass produced for criminals to use for illegal purposes in an attempt to lower crime rates amongst humans. in present day there is a movement to liberate them and they have gained somewhat equal rights, but not all are protected.

stray snufflets exist and can be harmed w/o repercussions. quad snufflets are considered lesser and unable to gain protection. after snufflets were liberated, false snufflets, cannibals and killers, were made to try and control their populations by blending in amongst them.

basic design rules:
-ambiguous species only
-simple designs, limited color palette, usually one main color and an accent
-any anatomy but mammalian only, some non mammalian traits are okay though
-blood is dark almost black and any hue, organs can be any color

snufflets can only die from decapitation/heart removal simultaneously. they can reform like salamanders but sometimes reform poorly and are forced to mutilate themselves to stay healthy. their pain tolerances are high and some have a rare gene that removes pain entirely.
