I did grass by my hand on another artwork of mine https://inkbunny.net/s/3014523 And, yeah, I spent about 3 hours on this grass lol Only 5% of grass is pattern there, just so background would not look that boring x) That's why I desided to use pattern brush here, but I wanna improve myself so I could make background faster only by my own had later xD
