Life is not a competition, whether good or bad. If a child opens up to you, it means they respect you and want you to listen to them. When these bridges are destroyed, it becomes difficult to rebuild them. Don't belittle what people have to say to you; listening doesn't cost anything, and everyone needs support from time to time, even you. If words can't help, why not give a hug?
