L: In the aftermath of a hurricane, the town that a helioptile and togepi lived in had completely flooded! Today, they've both been asked to help out with things around the town... Things that are underwater.
S: "Oh my word, I can't believe our cute little town has turned into an ocean from this scary hurricane!" *deep down inside togepi, she was very scared to go down underwater considering she's a bad swimmer*
L: "Yeah, I'm... Not really a fan of swimming. Hopefully it's not gonna stay flooded like this forever..."
S: "Oh gosh that'll be awful... I don't want that either, I'm such a terrible swimmer! These arms and legs aren't really made for this kind of thing!"
L: "I guess we should do what we can to help, right? It's gonna suck to do that, but at least we'll make it better for others... And maybe it'll help people clear the water out faster, too."
S: "There's no way I'm gonna "help" them... and I'm usually the helpful kind of Pokémon, but there's water involved so I'll kindly pass... but at the same time I do wanna....ugh"
L: "I wouldn't really blame you if you don't want to go down there. It's gonna be weird, swimming around somewhere we used to walk..."
S: "It sure is... plus our homes are all submerged too probably..... ugh! I just know that I'll have to go under eventually for something...and I really don't want that!"
L: "Whatever it ends up being, I'll come with you for it. That should at least make it a little better, not being alone, right?"
S: "Yeeeah....I guess...thank you" *togepi sighs before she looks around the flooded town with sadness*
L: Helioptile looks around as well. "It's still kind of surreal seeing everything like this..."
S: "Yeah I know right... everything's underwater...litteraly...I can barely see the streets and homes that are submerged down there...I mean its gotta be surreal even down under too..."
L: "Don't you want to see what it's like down there, just once? There's no way you're gonna get a chance like this again."
S: *togepi sighs* "I guess you're right...there's no way a hurricane like that will strike again for a long time... ugh this is hard tho, submerging scares me..."
L: "It'd be better to just try it fairly soon, so you're more ready in case you end up actually needing to go down there..."
S: "Don't say that! Cause then ill actually happen! Ugh!" *togepi is getting frustrated a bit*
L: "I guess it might not, yeah... Maybe you'll luck out and not have to worry about it."
S: "I hope not..." *togepi then looks down at the water's surface...she was deep down eager to explore the flooded city...but her fears held her back*
L: "Well, um... I kind of want to go check that out myself, and I'd really like if you came with me for it."
S: "Oh come on...now your really making this hard, you know we're really good buddies and I would hate to see you go down there all by yourself :("
L: "I-I'm not trying to make this hard for you, I'm just saying! If you want me to stay here, I will, I don't really mind."
S: "No...I already know you too well, your gonna regret staying here... maybe....I should at least peak down there to see what's there... but I don't want my eyes to sting and I doubt there's swimming goggles around here"
L: "Well, let's have a look around, maybe someone's brought some up. It'd make sense, not everyone salvaging stuff is a water type."
S: "Oh fine...I guess we should look around then, hopefully there are some goggles here"
L: Helioptile and Togepi look around the top of the building they're on... And sure enough, there's a couple pairs of goggles someone had brought up! "Nice, we lucked out!"
S: "Yay... guess we did luck out, heh" *togepi grabs a pair of goggles that are light purple* "It's even in my favorite color...that's kinda nice"
L: Helioptile takes the other pair, which is green. "Well, good for you! I bet this is gonna end up pretty fun now that we won't have to worry about our eyes!"
S: "Yeeeah...heh heh..." *even tho togepi now has goggles to protect her eyes, she's still very nervous*
L: "You still look really nervous... I don't blame you, it's gonna be pretty weird to be in an underwater town."
S: "Uh huh... I want to explore...I really do, but my fears are holding me back... I don't know what to do"
L: "We're gonna be fine down there, and we don't have to go into any buildings. We ought to leave that to the folks that are better at swimming."
S: "G-good idea I guess... yknow it sucks for the fire types that live here, I'm sure they are suffering..." *togepi looks in the distance and sees a group of fire type pokemon huddling together on a building to stay away from the water, everyone there whimpering*
"Yikes!"
L: "Poor guys... Well, if we end up enjoying swimming here, we ought to join the salvage group and see if we can make things better for them."
S: "I hate seeing others like that, maybe I'll get lucky and like this in a weird way..."
L: "We'll just have to see, I guess." Helioptile puts his goggles on and heads to the edge of the building, looking down into the water. "Man, this is deeper than I really thought..."
S: *togepi also puts her goggles on and heads to the edge, jumping back in fear*
"Omg that's deep! I didn't expect that much rain water! I'm starting to rethink doing this now... at least you look cute with those goggles on..."
L: "Thanks... And, um... Yeah, really deep. If we went all the way to the ground, I think that'd be the deepest I've ever gone..."
S: "Same here... well I don't know now that depth is scaring me a lot..."
L: "Y-yeah, I... I thought it was less than this. Deep water kind of freaks me out some... But, I'm sure we'll be fine, nothing to block us from surfacing."
S: "I'm gonna have to try..." *togepi slowly lowers herself into the water, it's cold, but tolerable...she floats on the surface*
"Man that's so deep..."
L: Helioptile carefully drops into the water as well, swimming next to Togepi. "At least I can glow with my electricity, so we'd be able to see if we went down there... And yes, it's safe for me to do that."
S: "I just don't know if I'm gonna submerge, I'm so scared!"
L: "I really don't blame you..." Helioptile hugs Togepi, hoping to calm both them and himself some.
S: *togepi hugs helioptile back, shaking with fear a bit*
"What do I do?"
L: "We can back out of this if you want, it's not gonna be any fun if you're scared the whole time..."
S: "Yeah I don't think I can handle it... but I want to explore, I really do...ughhh!"
L: "Hey, maybe we'll find something cool down there! Wouldn't that make it worth it?"
S: "I guess.... but I'm still not sure..."
L: "You know, it might be funny to just walk on the sidewalk down there like everything's normal... Do you want to at least try that out?"
S: "Wait a minute... walk on the sidewalk when everything's underwater?" *togepi thinks about that for a minute, then starts giggling*
"Yknow what that might be pretty funny...I have to try that...but wouldn't that make us pretty far from the surface? I don't know if any of us can handle that"
L: "I mean, I can hold my breath about 8 minutes, so I'd be fine. What about you?"
S: "8 minutes? Goodness, with my tiny size I can probably last 4-5 minutes...if I'm not freaking out"
L: "Being cold blooded definitely helps. Anyway, I could give you some of my air down there so you'd be able to stay longer."
S: "But that would mean....kissing" *togepi blushes at that* "Are you sure your ok with that?"
L: "I'd be okay with it if you are. It doesn't have to mean anything if you don't want it to."
S: "I mean I'm fine with it, I'll be a bit weird...and I'll just hope nobody who's already down there will see it... you are kinda cute I wont lie..."
L: "I think you're cute too, so... Won't be that bad to kiss you, I suppose." Helioptile blushes.
S: *togepi blushes too*
"Yeah I guess" *togepi offers her tiny hand to helioptile* "Shall we do this together then? I'm try my hardest to be brave for you"
L: Helioptile takes Togepi's hand. "Yeah, we'll go under at the same time. I hear that helps." He starts taking deep breaths.
S: "Yeah" *adjusting her goggles with her free hand she starts to take deep breathes as well, trying to calm down*
L: Eventually, Helioptile does a countdown, before gasping one last time and going underwater.
S: *togepi shuts her eyes briefly before taking the last gasp and diving underwater with helioptile, opening then up when shes underwater*
L: Helioptile smiles at Togepi, then looks down into the deep water they're both above... After a bit of hesitation, Helioptile begins swimming down.
S: *the depth was a bit scary to togepi but tries to act to brave and swims down with helioptile, letting a couple of bubbles loose*
L: The surface gradually gets farther away as the two descend. No one else seems to be around right now, so the two certainly won't have to worry about being seen.
S: *togepi was starting to get scared the deeper down they dove, the flood waters here were so deeper...she tried to calm down by looking around the flooded building and trees, but it's not helping, she hugs helioptile in fear*
L: Helioptile stops to hug her back, fine with only going this far down if she wants to go back up.
S: *but the two of them were close to the sidewalk, and togepi wanted to do that funny thing, so even with her face red she points down, wanting to continue*
L: Glancing down, Helioptile smiles and nods, before continuing to swim down, staying next to Togepi.
S: *as they finally get to the bottom, togepi's face is fully red and she needs some air*
L: After quickly looking around to make sure there still no one else nearby, Helioptile kisses Togepi to give her some of his air, blushing heavily.
S: *togepi blushes heavily too, but accepts the air...even kissing helioptile back a bit before pulling away, looking up briefly at how far away they are from air*
L: Helioptile looks up at the surface too, watching their little bubbles float away... But, he looks back at Togepi and smiles, gesturing for the two of them to start walking.
S: *togepi smiles and giggles a bit before they start walking on the sidewalk*
L: Helioptile happily walks along as if everything is normal, aside from the fact that he needs to hold his breath and that he's getting a little low, blushing from strain.
S: *togepi giggles out some bubbles as they walk, feeling rather silly and knowing that if folks actually made it down this far they too would be laughing at the sight*
L: As much as Helioptile wants to keep going, his need to breathe is continuing to grow along with his blush. Without as much air in him, it's not all that long before his face is entirely red.
S: *noticing helioptile's face is red, togepi kisses helioptile to share some of her air back to him, then points to the surface, It was funny they did this but now the need for air for them both was growing too much*
L: Helioptile nods, and jumps off the bottom to start swimming back up with Togepi.
S: *togepi jumps up and swims back up as well, it took 2 minutes but they both surface safely, gasping for air*
"Ok I will admit, that was kind of fun...I'm glad I went down there with you"
L: Helioptile pants some as he catches his breath. "S-so am I! Turned out pretty well after all, huh?"
S: "Yeah! I enjoyed it! Even the air kiss, hehe!" *togepi looks at the fire type pokemon still huddling together with fear*
"Eesh...yknow what now that I'm comfortable with water, I think we should go and comfort those fire types over there... cause they may have to swim and dive at some point and I wanna make sure they are comfortable, what do you think?"
L: "Yeah, we ought to see if we can get them less afraid to dive in here. It's really not as scary as I expected!"
S: "Not at all! Sure it may be deep, but everyone should experience this underwater city while it lasts... come let's go then" *togepi starts swimming for the top of the building where the fire type pokemon are*
L: Helioptile follows Togepi, thinking of how he might be able to convince the fire types to try swimming here.
S: *there were 2 fire types on the building, one of them was a cyndaquil, and they notice helioptile and togepi swimming towards them*
L: The other, a charmander, looks out at the two. "O-oh, hi, um... W-we're fine here, don't worry about us..."
Helioptile: "You two sure don't LOOK fine..."
S: Cyndaquil - "What?? O-of course were f-fine! Why wouldn't we be??" *both the Cyndaquil and the charmander were shaking with fear*
Togepi - "You definitely don't look fine..."
L: Helioptile: "Hey, you guys don't need to pretend. This certainly isn't the best place for a fire type to be..."
Charmander sighs. "Y-yeah, I'm really freaked out about all the water..."
S: Cyndaquil - "So am I! I hate water! I don't wanna be anywhere near it!"
Togepi - "That's totally understandable... the water is a bit deep..."
L: Helioptile: "Are you guys able to swim? You really don't have much to worry about if you can."
Charmander: "I mean, I know how, but... I-I've never been in anywhere near this much water before!"
S: Cyndaquil- "I can't really swim... I mean I know how but I'm so so bad at it it's not worth it"
Togepi - "Oof..."
L: Helioptile: "Well, maybe we could help you two get more comfortable in the water?"
Charmander: "I really don't want to do that... J-just, don't worry about us, okay? We're fine here."
S: Cyndaquil - "Yeah I definitely don't wanna do that, just leave us be we will be fine here"
Togepi - "Oh come on you two it's not as bad you think it is!"
L: Helioptile: "Think about how cool it'd be to swim here! This is the only chance to do that you're gonna get!"
Charmander: "I-I mean, yeah, but... Not gonna be worth it..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Not at all! So get lost!"
Toegpi - "Come on! It's beautiful! Everyone should experience it!"
Cyndaquil - "I SAID NO!!!" *Cyndaquil raised their voice a bit* "...sorry..."
L: Charmander: "Look, we're not going in there, and that's that. You're better off just going to help someone else."
Helioptile whispers to Togepi. "I don't think this is gonna happen..."
S: *toegpi whispers back* "Theres gotta be something we can do to convince them!"
L: Helioptile: "They're probably gonna start gettin mad, but if you think there's a chance..." He looks at the two fire types again. "Hey, maybe you could try out walking down there like it's all normal, that's what we did!"
Charmander looks down into the water. "...I'm not really sure I could hold my breath long enough for that even if I wanted to..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Aw man... that actually sounds funny... but I agree with charmander I don't think I could do that even I wanted to...besides I'm too freaked out"
Togepi - "Darn it..."
L: Helioptile: "Hm... Have either of you tried going in the building you're on? Might be interesting to at least just walk around in there."
Charmander: "No, we haven't done that. It wouldn't be that far under... Hm... What do you think, Cyndaquil?"
S: Cyndaquil - "Charmander are you nuts?! There's no why I'm gonna do that! Even if it's not that far under...I'll still be scared!"
L: Charmander: "Y-yeah, I don't know what I was thinking... E-even just the thought of having a ceiling above me underwater freaks me out..."
Helioptile: "Well, um... What amount of water would be okay with you guys?"
Charmander: "A lot less than THIS!"
S: "Like a ton ton less..."
Togepi - "I see we have a really scared fiery duo here.... and everywhere here as a ton of water...there's pretty much nowhere that's like a foot or less..."
L: Helioptile: "...Hey, what if we figured out a way to get the water a lot more shallow in one spot? Would you two be okay with being there?"
Charmander: "...I mean, that'd be a lot better, but I'm still not really sure."
S: Cyndaquil- "Hmmph! I doubt you could do that so what's the point...you may as well give up trying"
Togepi - "Goodness, these two are something else...I mean I thought I was scared of this"
L: Helioptile: "Yeah, now that I think about it, not really sure how we'd do that..." He sighs.
Charmander: "I don't think you guys are gonna be able to help us..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Good try tho"
Togepi - "Welp, I give up...we've tried everything, and they are just too scared to do it... they are chickens...which I understand"
*Cyndaquil gasps*
Cyndaquil - "....what did you just say???"
L: Helioptile realizes this might be a way to help out some. "You guys are chickens, that's all. You're just too scared to swim."
Charmander: "Don't call us that! Everyone knows fire types don't do well in water!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Nobody calls me a chicken!!"
Togepi - "Well you are since your way too scared to submerge and swim... if you weren't a chicken you would do it"
L: Charmander: "I-I... Ugh! I'm not chicken!"
Helioptile: "Well, prove it then, hop on into the water!"
S: Togepi - "Yeah, prove to us your not chickens and that you could be brave!"
Cyndaquil - "Ughh!!! Charmander? You know I hate being called a chicken!" *they said, looking at the charmander with a pleading face*
L: Charmander sighs. "They're not gonna take it back unless we go in the water..."
Helioptile: "Yep, you got that right! Come on, do it!"
S: Togepi - "Do it! Do it! Do it! Come on!"
*Cyndaquil is clearly frustrated by this* "...What do you think we should do charmander? I'm still scared"
L: Helioptile: "We're not gonna leave you guys alone until you've gone in the water at least once!"
Charmander: "We kinda have to do something, at least..."
S: Togepi- "Yeah!"
Cyndaquil - "Whyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! Ugh!! FINE! I'll do it...."
L: Charmander: "Yes, we'll do it! Stop calling us chickens!"
Helioptile: "There you go! It's not gonna be so bad, you'll see!"
S: "I am NOT looking forward to this!"
Togepi- "It's gonna be ok! I promise!"
L: Despite having agreed to do this, Charmander starts subtly shivering in fear as he looks down into the deep water. "O-oh boy, that's deep..."
Helioptile: "Come on, you can do it!"
S: *Cyndaquil who was right next to charmander also shivers with fear at the deep water*
Cyndaquil- "That's sooo deep! Too deep!"
Togepi - "You got this!"
L: Charmander reaches down to touch the water. "A-at least it's not very cold..."
Helioptile: "I might be able to help you guys warm up, too. Go on, climb in!"
S: *Cyndaquil touches the water too but yelps as he does*
Cyndaquil - "Uh uh.....omg... I can't do it!"
Togepi - "Don't give up! You got this!"
L: Charmander: "They're gonna just keep calling us cowards if we don't do this..." Accepting that he doesn't have much choice, he nervously starts to very slowly climb into the water.
Helioptile: "There you go, keep going!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Charmander!!" *Cyndaquil watches as charmander enters the water very slowly*
Togepi - "That's it...you got it charmander!"
L: Charmander's shivering isn't subtle any more, his fear continuing to increase as more of him goes into the water.
Helioptile swims next to them. "I'm right here if you need me."
S: *togepi swims next to charmander too*
Togepi - "Everything's gonna be ok..."
*Cyndaquil just watches everything that's happening, hoping helioptile and togepi forgot about them, but they didnt*
L: Soon enough, Charmander looks down at Helioptile... And with a deep breath just in case, he tightly shuts his eyes as he jumps toward them!
Helioptile catches him, making sure he doesn't go underwater. "It's okay, I've got you... Not so bad, right?"
S: Cyndaquil - "Whoa!! He did not just jump in there right? Omg... are you ok charmander?!"
Togepi - "He did it! Way to go charmander..." *togepi looks at Cyndaquil* "Now it's your turn Cyndaquil"
Cyndaquil - "Uh oh..."
L: Charmander: "I-I'm fine... I-it still doesn't feel good, but it's not really as bad as I thought..."
Helioptile: "See? Nothing to worry about!"
S: *Cyndaquil looks down at the water below, still shivering with fear*
Cyndaquil - "Ahhhh!!!"
*togepi holds out her tiny arms to Cyndaquil*
Togepi - "Come on Cyndaquil you can do it!! I believe in you!"
L: Helioptile: "I want to see both of you guys in here at once, so maybe you should get in soon so your friend can leave."
Charmander: "Th-the sooner you get in here too, the sooner we can get back out!"
S: Cyndaquil - "I'm gonna regret doing this...." *Cyndaquil lowers some of his body into the water, then shuts his eyes and leaps off into togepi's arms, which she makes sure he doesn't go underwater*
Togepi - "You did it!"
Cyndaquil - "Mama mia!"
L: Helioptile: "There you go! You managed it after all!"
Charmander: "N-nice, but, um... C-can I go now?"
Helioptile: "Well, Togepi, what do you think?"
S: Togepi - "Uh uh uh...we ain't done here... I think they should try to submerge underwater too, it's kind of important"
Cyndaquil - "WHAT?!?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! I ain't doing that!!! No way! This is already bad enough!"
L: Helioptile: "Sounds good to me~"
Charmander: "Nope, NOPE! Not doing that!" He starts trying to get out of Helioptile's grip.
S: Cyndaquil - "I ain't doing that either! Get me outta here!" *Cyndaquil manages to squirm out of togepi's grip and back up to the building*
Togepi - "Come on! It's not as bad you think!"
L: Charmander manages to get away from Helioptile as well, climbing back onto the building. "There's NO way I'm going down there!"
Helioptile: "We don't have to go far, just a couple feet down!"
S: Cyndaquil - "No way! Uh uh!!"
Togepi - "Oh well....i guess your a chicken again!"
Cyndaquil - "Grrrrr! I don't care anymore! There's no way I'm going submerge!"
L: Charmander: "Yeah, this is one thing I'm okay with being called that for not doing!"
Helioptile: "Come on, it's not all that different from just being on the surface like you were!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Uhh hello?? You can't breathe down there! You have to hold your breath! And that's the scary part!"
Togepi - "True, but still it's not that bad!"
L: Helioptile: "It could just be for a second or so!"
Charmander: "Yeah, well, that's a second more than I'm willing to do!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Yeah!!!"
Togepi - "This might be harder then the last one helioptile..." *togepi sighs*
L: Helioptile: "Well, we at least got them to go in at all, that's a pretty big improvement already."
Charmander: "Yep, and that's all it's gonna be."
S: "True...but submerging is just as important..."
Cyndaquil - "There's nothing you can say or do that'll make us submerge"
L: Charmander: "Yep, he's got that right! No way we're going underwater!"
Helioptile: "Um... What about for bragging rights? I can't imagine many fire types intentionally go underwater in their lives!"
S: Togepi - "Yeah that's true! Think about how much you wanna brag to other fire types!"
Cyndaquil - "I mean that would be nice but no, I won't do it!"
L: Charmander: "Nope, that's not gonna be worth it!"
Helioptile: "...I'm kinda running out of ideas, um..."
S: *togepi whispers to helioptile*
Togepi - "What they need is someone they look up too... like a pokemon they always wanted to meet, I'm sure of we ask them we could try and look for that pokemon somewhere here... that's my last idea, if that won't work then it's over"
L: Helioptile whispers back "Oh, that's a really good idea! Hopefully they'll be easy to find..." He then looks at the two fire types again. "Hey, quick question... Is there a particular Pokemon that you guys have always wanted to meet?"
S: Cyndaquil - "That's a totally random question... but I've always wanted to meet moltres...man he's the coolest fire type in the whole universe!"
L: Charmander: "Gah, yes, he's SO cool! But I don't even know where I could find him..."
Helioptile: "Alright, thanks for letting us know." He turns to Togepi again. "I guess we should leave these guys alone now, huh?" He winks at her.
S: Togepi - "Oh hehehe...yes we should for now" *she winks back, but also thinks to herself on how they are gonna find moltres*
L: Helioptile looks at the fire types again. "Alright, we're gonna leave you guys alone for now while we think of another strategy."
Charmander sighs. "Kinda hoping you don't think of anything, I want this to be done with..."
S: Cyndaquil- "Same here..."
*togepi and helioptile leave the two fire types alone for a bit, going someplace where they can't hear them*
Togepi - "So if they always wanted to meet a moltres, how in the world are we gonna find one??"
L: Helioptile: "Maybe someone around will just happen to know one? Wouldn't hurt to just try asking."
S: "I guess it's worth a shot...let's try asking around then, who knows we might get lucky"
L: The two search around town for a while, asking various Pokemon to see if anyone happens to know a Moltres. Eventually, they try with a Braviary.
Braviary: "Oh, yeah, I know a Moltres! Are you guys looking for one?"
S: "Yeah! We are! I was starting to think we were running out of luck, but thank goodness we found you! We need moltres to help some other fire type pokemon, you think you could get them for us?"
L: Braviary: "Yeah, I can do that, they're not actually that far from here. Hang tight, I'll be maybe... Half an hour or so."
Helioptile: "That's fine, we can probably wait that long. Thanks!"
Braviary takes off into the air, flying away.
S: "Oh boy! This should be interesting!"
*half an hour later....*
L: Braviary returns, and indeed, they have a Moltres with them!
Braviary: "Alright, as promised, here he is!"
Moltres: "Hi! Kind of sucks what happened here, but... What's up?"
Helioptile: "Great to have you here! We need some help with convincing a couple fire types to try out swimming underwater, and they both said they really like you."
S: "Yeah! Could you help us out?? It would mean the world to us! And wow, those two weren't kidding...you do look cool!"
L: Moltres: "Believe it or not, I actually LIKE swimming, so this ought to be easy!"
Helioptile: "Oh wow, I never would've thought!"
S: "You LIKE swimming?? Wow! Who would have guessed? Well perfect, we will lead you to the folks who need help then"
L: Moltres: "Alright, lead the way!"
Helioptile starts leading Moltres to where Charmander and Cyndaquil were, hoping they'll both still be there.
S: *they are, and Cyndaquil notices moltres and his mouth drops open*
Cyndaquil - "WHAT.....THE....FREAKING....HECK?!!?"
L: Charmander: "H-holy crap, you actually found one!?"
Helioptile: "Yep, and he's here to help convince you guys to try out swimming!"
Moltres: "Might seem weird, especially with the fire on my body, but I do actually enjoy swimming!"
S: "Whaaaaa???? A moltres that LIKES to swim?? Nah nah nah I don't believe that one bit..."
Togepi - "Heh heh heh...."
L: Moltres: "Oh yeah? Watch this!" He takes a deep breath, and dives underwater. The fire on his body still manages to burn while he's down there, making quite a few bubbles.
S: Cyndaquil - "😮😮 WHAT?!?!? Charmander are you seeing this!?!"
Togepi - "Whoa....he wasn't kidding!"
L: Charmander: "Wh- R-really!? Th-there's no way I would've believed anyone telling me about this!"
Helioptile: "Cool that his fire's still going, I didn't expect that..."
After a couple seconds, Moltres surfaces, swimming in place. "Well, what do you think of that?"
S: Cyndaquil - "AWESOME!!!! Wow!! Your even more cool then before!!"
Togepi - "Tell me about it!"
L: Charmander: "...But, you're a legendary, of course you're gonna be fine with something like that..."
Moltres: "Doesn't matter what kind of Pokemon you are, being in water is always safe! I saw a Slugma underwater once, and even they were perfectly fine!"
Helioptile: "Oh wow, really? They're basically just made of lava!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Wow....that's crazy!!!"
L: Moltres: "So, what do you two think? Want to try out going under now?"
Charmander sighs. "...Only because it's with you..." He starts getting back into the water again.
Helioptile: "There you go! Glad something finally worked!"
S: Cyndaquil - "Uhhhh I don't think so! Sure you got moltres but I still won't go under!"
Togepi - "Oh come on!"
L: Helioptile: "Well, we've at least made some progress here..."
Moltres holds Charmander so they won't have to swim. "We should probably wait until your friend gets in as well."
Charmander: "Fine, I'll stay for now..."
S: *seeing that charmander is in the water, Cyndaquil sighs and eventually lowers himself into the water again*
L: Moltres: "There you go, nothing to worry about..."
Helioptile: "Just one thing left now!"
Charmander: "Come on, let's get this over with so they'll leave us alone..."
S: Togepi - "You got this!!!"
Cyndaquil - "Aww man..." *Cyndaquil looks down at the water below him and shakes with fear*
L: Moltres pats Cyndaquil with a wing. "You're gonna be perfectly fine, there's nothing to worry about here."
Charmander, to Helioptile: "This is still just for a couple seconds, right?"
Helioptile: "Yep, just want you guys to try out diving at least once."
S: *Cyndaquil whimpers sadly, he give moltres a hug... since he's a fire type he's not affected by the fire*
L: Moltres hugs them back. "Now, I'm gonna do a countdown for you guys, going from 10 seconds, does that sound alright?"
Charmander: "Th-that feels fine to me..."
S: Cyndaquil - "No no no no! I don't wanna I don't wanna do it!!!!!"
L: Moltres: "Those two don't seem like they're going to let up unless you go through with this."
Helioptile: "Nope, we're not. As soon as this is done though, you guys can just go back to whatever you were doing."
S: Togepi- "Yep"
Cyndaquil - "Aww man, but I'm so scared! Even with moltres here..."
L: Charmander: "I'm sure Moltres is gonna keep us safe... As much as this is still gonna suck..."
Moltres: "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you two."
S: "I really don't wanna do this... I don't wanna submerge and let my air randomly get cut off..."
Togepi - "Come on please!!! I know you guys can do it!"
L: Helioptile: "It doesn't have to be long enough that you'll have to worry about breathing, just go down and right back up!"
Charmander: "C-come on, I want to leave the water already..."
S: *Cyndaquil shakes his head defiantly*
Cyndaquil - "Ugh!!!! FINE! Let's do it already..."
Togepi - "That's the spirit!"
L: Moltres: "There you go! Alright, get yourself ready. 10, 9, 8..."
Charmander: "O-oh boy, here it comes..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Oh no!! Ahhh!!!"
Togepi - "Come on..."
L: Charmander hugs Cyndaquil, both to calm them and himself. "I-I'm pretty sure we'll be fine..."
Moltres: "...7, 6, 5, 4..."
Helioptile: "Don't worry guys, you've got this!"
S: "Whatever you do, don't give up!"
Cyndaquil - "Mama mia..." *Cyndaquil tightly hugs charmander back, whimpering as they get close to 0*
L: Moltres: "...3, 2, 1..." Still holding the other two fire types, he takes a breath and dives underwater with them.
Charmander holds his breath as he goes under, puffing his cheeks and tightly shutting his eyes.
S: *Cyndaquil just couldn't do it...he squirmed out of moltres's grip at the last possible second and avoided going underwater*
L: Moltres quickly surfaces again, bringing Charmander with him. "Oh, come on, you almost had it!"
Charmander exhales, opening his eyes again. "Th-this doesn't mean I have to do it again, does it!?"
Helioptile: "I don't think so... Togepi, was that enough?"
S: Togepi - "Ehhh, I'm sorry charmander but since the both of you didn't submerge, it doesn't count..."
Cyndaquil - "I'm sorry! I got too freaked out!!"
L: Charmander: "Ugh, come ON! I don't want to go down there AGAIN!"
Helioptile: "Well, you heard her, it's got to be both of you!"
Moltres: "I'm fine with waiting as long as it takes, I don't have anything to do today."
S: "Awwww man! I thought I would get away with it! I don't know what to do!!"
L: Helioptile: "Even what Moltres and your friend just did would be enough, just a little moment like that!"
Charmander: "It sucked a lot, yeah, but it wasn't AS bad as I expected..."
S: Togepi - "I disagree...now that I'm thinking about...to even have a chance at survival they would need to go way longer then that!"
Cyndaquil - "😮I'm doomed..."
L: Helioptile: "You know what? You're right. Let's say... 30 seconds. You guys ought to be able to do that, right?"
Charmander: "Th-that long!? I-I've never even held my breath 20 seconds before!"
Moltres: "I'm sure you two can manage it, it's not THAT long."
S: Cyndaquil - "Uh uh...there's no way I'm doing that! I may as well give up!!"
Togepi - "Come on you guys...you don't wanna give up in front of your favorite legendary pokemon don't you?"
L: Moltres: "I'd be pretty impressed if you guys managed to do this despite your fear...~"
Charmander: "...Th-that's a pretty good reason..."
Helioptile: "I'd definitely want to impress a legendary too!"
S: "Yeah so would I! That would be awesome!"
Cyndaquil - "Vaild reason....but I still don't know... I mean I wanna impress you but..." *Cyndaquil sighs heavily*
L: Charmander: "Th-think I'd kinda just do it now, but it's not gonna count if it's just me..."
Helioptile: "Yep, has to be you and your friend. You could practice if you want though."
Charmander: "No way! Only going under one more time!"
S: "Ugh! This is a situation I don't wanna be in right now... but I am...I might have to suck it up and do it..."
Togepi - "Please...I know you can do it! I have faith in you!"
L: Moltres: "Come on, you've got this! This is easy!"
Helioptile: "Just stay under 30 seconds, and that'll be it, we'll leave you alone!"
S: Cyndaquil - "No!!!"
*togepi sighs heavily*
Togepi - "Your gonna disappoint moltres..." *togepi looks at moltres to confirm*
L: Moltres nods. "Look how brave your friend was, going underwater when you didn't! Are you sure you want to miss out on getting to go underwater with me?"
Charmander blushes intensely at having been called brave by his idol, wagging his tail, but doesn't say anything.
Helioptile: "Honestly, I feel like right now is your best chance to do this. Once Moltres leaves, I doubt you'll ever be able to be convinced to try out submerging."
S: Cyndaquil - "Awww man! I don't wanna miss this change to be with my idol! Ugh this is killing me!" *Cyndaquil tears up* "I'm sorry for being so stubborn! I really am scared! But I do wanna brave my fear! I really do!" *Cyndaquil then covers his face as he cries*
L: Charmander swims to Cyndaquil and hugs them. "It's gonna be okay... If I could go under once, so can you. You've actually got it better than me, I'm gonna be underwater for a second time!"
Moltres comes over and pets Cyndaquil as well. "I'll stay right with you the whole time..."
S: *togepi swims over and pets Cyndaquil softly too*
Togepi - "I'll stick with you too, after all I know you feel"
Cyndaquil - "R-really?"
L: Helioptile: "Wait, what? What do you mean?"
S: Togepi - "I was in Cyndaquil's footsteps before, I was terrified of water when I was much younger... like really scared, probably as much as much as Cyndaquil right now... what you saw earlier helioptile was nothing compares to my childhood, but I won't go into too much detail"
L: Helioptile: "Wow, I had no idea..."
Charmander: "Guess Cyndaquil and I weren't the only ones..."
Moltres: "...To tell the truth, I used to be kind of afraid of water too. But, I accidentally fell in a lake one time, and I ended up loving water after that."
S: "That's interesting..."
Cyndaquil - "Well.... *he sighs* "Fine fine fine...I'll try and do this one more time then...and try to be a lot more brave"
L: Moltres: "That's the spirit!"
Helioptile: "And you can finally get out of the water after you're done!"
S: Togepi - "Maybe... ;)" *she smirks a bit but nobody notices*
Cyndaquil - "Fine... this is gonna suck!"
L: Charmander: "Yeah, but at least it'll be over..."
Moltres holds Charmander and Cyndaquil again. "Alright, same as before, 10 second countdown."
S: *Cyndaquil squirms a bit in moltres's embrace*
Cyndaquil - "Don't hold me too tight, give me some wiggle room a least...
L: Moltres: "Oh, sorry. Just didn't want you squirming out again." He relaxes his hold on Cyndaquil some. "Anyway... 10, 9, 8..."
Helioptile: "You guys are both gonna be fine!"
S: Togepi - "I believe in you guys!! Come on let's go!!! Whooo!!!"
Cyndaquil - "Aww man..." *Cyndaquil whimpers and turns to charmander with a pleading gaze*
L: Charmander: "C-come on... Let's finally get this over with..."
Moltres: "...7, 6, 5, 4..."
S: "It's getting closer!! Ahhh!!😰"
Togepi - "Come on....Come on..."
L: Charmander: "H-here it comes..."
Moltres: "3, 2, 1..." He and Charmander both take and hold deep breaths as he goes underwater once again, hoping that Cyndaquil won't try to get away this time.
S: *shutting his eyes tightly Cyndaquil takes the deepest breath he can manage, puffing his cheeks as he finally submerges underwater with the others!*
L: Charmander doesn't notice, having shut his eyes as well, but Moltres smiles at the two. Helioptile dives under as well, watching the three fire types hold their breath.
S: *togepi also dives under to watch too... Cyndaquil meanwhile whimpers loudly causing a lot of bubbles to escape him, but he's managing for now, his puffy cheeks making him look 10x cuter then before*
Cyndaquil - "Mmmblblbl!!"
L: A bit over 5 seconds have passed so far. Charmander whines quite a lot, trying his best to keep his air in even as he too loses bubbles.
Moltres watches the two, ready to quickly surface with them if one gets especially low on breath.
S: *Cyndaquil covers his mouth with a hand, trying to keep his air in as togepi watches them, Cyndaquil surprisingly is doing slightly better then charmander*
L: 12 seconds in, Charmander covers his mouth as well, though with both hands. Helioptile smiles at him and Cyndaquil, glad they're staying put for now.
S: *Cyndaquil whimpers get louder as he nuzzles against moltres, wrapping his free arm around them as he continues to hold his breath*
L: Moltres hugs Cyndaquil a little bit tighter for a moment, hoping that'll help calm them down. 20 seconds have passed now, and Charmander is starting to blush from strain, bubbles still trickling away from him.
S: *Cyndaquil meanwhile barely has a red face, but bubbles trickle away from his nose as he keeps snuggling against moltres....togepi watches intensely*
L: Just before the 30 seconds are up, Charmander instinctively starts to struggle a little in Moltres' hold, more from fear than actually wanting to get out. Moltres keeps him in place as the last few seconds tick by.
S: *Cyndaquil however remains calm for the most part, his blush slowly growing...it seems being submerged for this long has calmed Cyndaquil down so much that he's actually holding his breath a bit longer still, and managing to keep his air in..he knows if he struggles then he'll just be wasting air and time*
L: Finally, they reach the 30 second mark, and Moltres surfaces with the other two fire types, Helioptile following. Moltres calmly exhales, while Charmander gasps.
Moltres: "Done! Good work, you two!"
S: *Cyndaquil gasps slightly less the charmander, togepi follows them up as well*
Cyndaquil - "Huh... whoa... that was interesting... glad that's finally over tho" *he's noticeably calmer then before*
L: Charmander: "...I-I guess, maybe, that wasn't awful..."
Helioptile: "Hey, glad you guys are starting to feel better about water!"
S: "I felt so calm after a while down there... I've never felt that way before..."
Togepi - "That's awesome!"
L: Charmander: "I think I might've been starting to get there too..."
Moltres: "Well, now that you two have finally gotten that done, I believe the others will be okay with you heading back onto that building again."
Helioptile: "Sounds good to me. What do you think, Togepi?"
S: Togepi - "Hmm....ok sure they went underwater...but i still don't think that's gonna be enough...this water is gonna be here for a while, and if help is needed at the bottom of this flooded city, then they have to learn to swim down to the bottom"
Cyndaquil - "You have got to be kidding me!"
L: Charmander: "That far!? Just leave us alone already!"
Moltres: "That IS pretty deep... Are you two sure about putting them through this?"
Helioptile: "Well, if Togepi is, then so am I!"
S: Togepi - "Hey I'm just trying to help them, it's important stuff now...heh heh"
Cyndaquil - "OH COME ON!!!!"
L: Helioptile: "Yep, definitely important. What if someone needed help down there and you were the only ones around?"
Charmander: "Maybe then I'd do it, but it's not like anyone DOES need help!"
S: Togepi - "Whoa jeez! Harsh!"
Cyndaquil - "Nope! I was fine with being 30 seconds just below the surface, now you want me to go all the way to the bottom? Heck no!!"
L: Moltres: "Hey, this might not take as long as that last dive, you might be done in only 20 seconds!"
Charmander: "Yeah, as if we can swim that fast..."
S: "Which we can't! So I'll take even longer then that! UGH!!!!"
L: Helioptile: "Hey, you guys looked like you could've lasted over a minute, you can do this no problem!"
Charmander: "Yeah, but I don't WANT to be under for over a minute!"
S: "Me neither!!"
Togepi - "Come on guys! It's not as bad as you think! Honestly it actually feels pretty relaxing to be that far underwater believe it or not"
L: Helioptile: "It really does! Plus, like I said earlier, you can try out walking down there!"
Charmander: "Yeah, like I'm gonna choose to stay down even longer!"
Moltres: "Walking on the bottom, huh? I ought to give that a shot myself..."
S: Cyndaquil - "There's no way on the face of this planet that I'm gonna go THAT deep... it's gonna take much more then that to convince us!"
L: Charmander: "Yep, we're gonna need a really good reason to do that!"
Helioptile: "Hm... How are we gonna do this..."
S: Topegi - "Good question..."
Cyndaquil - "Ha ha you can't think of anything! You snooze you lose!"
L: Moltres whispers to Helioptile and Togepi. "I might have something... What if we go down there together, and you two come back up and pretend I'm in trouble and need their help? I'm pretty good at holding my breath."
Helioptile: "Ooh, that has potential, I think..."
S: Togepi - "That's actually a really good idea! But...I think in order for this to work, all 3 of us would have to pretend to be in trouble, cause then they will probably be like "Well you go back down there to save him! You like being down there" Just saying"
L: Helioptile: "Good point, but... How are they gonna figure out something's "wrong"? I doubt they'll be paying attention to the water..."
Moltres: "Maybe if we say we'll be coming right back up?"
S: "Yeah Yeah! Then we don't come back up and they will both realize somethings wrong and hopefully come and get us at the bottom... just hope the 3 of us can hold our breathes that long but I don't think I'll be too much of an issue"
L: Moltres: "Okay, this should work! And if we have to surface, we can just say it turned into a breath holding contest."
Helioptile nods, then looks back at the other two fire types. "Alright, while we try to think of something, we're gonna show Moltres what it's like to walk underwater."
Charmander sighs. "At least we get a break from you all trying to convince us..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Fine, go do your thing...nice to have a break..."
Togepi - "Alright then, let's go moltres"
L: Moltres: "We won't be long!"
After some deep breathing, Moltres and Helioptile dive down together, heading for the ground deep below.
S: *togepi quickly follows them after some deep breathing, swimming towards the bottom...but now she's starting to think how she can make this rescue more realistic so charmander and Cyndaquil would believe they are actually in trouble*
L: Helioptile and Moltres seem to be thinking the same thing as they look around the bottom. Soon, they find some ropes, and with a nod to each other, carefully drape them around their ankles so it looks like they're tangled.
S: *togepi nods and does the same, now making it look like they are in trouble... now after a couple minutes, there's some bubbles popping on the surface and the trio never surfaced.... meanwhile....*
Cyndaquil - "It's taking them a while to get back up here...eh, I'm sure it's nothing serious, this flood is deep after all"
L: Charmander: "They said they wouldn't be long... Yeah, they're probably still fine, just hanging out down there."
S: "Yep, I'm not worried"
*several more minutes pass by and there's still nothing on the surface*
L: "...O-okay, they've been down there kind of a long time... What if something happened?"
S: "No don't say that, they have moltres with them...I'm sure they are fine..."
*more minutes tick by, a total of 6 minutes has been passed by...*
L: Charmander looks down roughly where the others had gone under. "Th-this is kind of a long time for someone to be underwater..."
S: "Yeah... now I'm actually getting concerned... but again, I'm sure it's nothing...I hope"
L: "I kind of want to check on them... But I'm not going down there. They've got a legendary, they must be fine..."
S: "Yeah yeah! They must be...but...maybe you can just take a quick peek down there? T-to really be sure they are ok? Just dip your head down there and try to open your eyes or something"
L: "Ugh, it's gonna hurt my eyes, but fine..." Charmander holds his breath and dips his head underwater, trying to find the submerged trio... And he can barely make out that they're all at the bottom, seemingly stuck in place! He quickly lifts his head again. "Th-they're stuck down there!"
S: "....what?! Your kidding right??? They can't possibly be stuck down there! Not even moltres! It's impossible!"
L: "I'm not, look down there! Even Moltres can't swim up!"
S: "I gotta check this out" *Cyndaquil takes a quick breath and dips his head underwater, his eyes closed at first but then opens them and he does see the trio in trouble, quickly lifting his head up* "Omg!! They are in trouble!"
L: Charmander frantically looks around for anyone else that can help, but it's just him and Cyndaquil... "...W-we have to help them!"
S: "WHAT?!?! But that would mean we would have to go all the way down there!!! And I don't wanna do that!"
L: "We can't just leave them there, especially Moltres! I don't like it either, but if we stay here, they're gonna drown!"
S: "Aww man... this sucks...well, if we have to go down there... could we at least find something to protect our eyes? Cause that water stings..."
L: "Um... M-maybe we can find some goggles, but we need to be quick about it!"
S: "Ok um, I'll start looking" *Cyndaquil goes back onto the building where they were and looks around, sure enough he spots several pairs of swim goggles that he didn't see before*
"Hey! I found some!"
L: "Okay, okay!" Charmander quickly grabs a pair of goggles and puts it on. "Um... Those guys took a lot of deep breaths before they went under, maybe that'll help too?" Charmander gets back into the water and does some deep breathing.
S: "Maybe..." *Cyndaquil grabs one for himself and puts it on, getting back in the water and taking deep breathes too, but deep down inside he's very scared*
L: Charmander is very much afraid as well, knowing how deep he's going to need to go, but he knows that he and Cyndaquil are the only hope the others have. With one more gasp, Charmander holds his breath... Hesitates for a moment, then dives under, instinctively tightly shutting his eyes again.
S: *Cyndaquil tries to dive down to follow him, but he freezes in place...he's too scared to go down so he doesn't move*
L: Charmander opens his eyes... And realizes Cyndaquil hasn't gone down. He quickly surfaces again. "Hey, I might need help down there, come on!"
S: *Cyndaquil is very very frightened*
"I-i-i-i don't know if i can do this...I'm so scared!!!"
L: "Hey, I just CHOSE to go underwater! If I can, so can you!"
S: "But charmander I really can't! It's so deep!" *Cyndaquil whimpers*
L: Charmander puts a hand on Cyndaquil's shoulder. "I know, I'm... I'm kind of scared too... But, Moltres is down there, and he's gonna drown if we don't do anything!"
S: "Yeah, along with the people who are trying to help us... and I don't wanna see them drown either! Especially moltres! I like him so much!"
L: "Then come on! I'm not sure how long we have, for all we know they could already be out of breath down there!"
S: *Cyndaquil gasps*
"Don't say that!!! Alright alright! I'll go... but I won't like it"
L: "I'm not gonna like this either..." Charmander starts taking deep breaths again, and eventually dives back underwater.
S: *still whimpering, Cyndaquil takes some deep breathes too, holding one in and diving underwater too... his eyes closed for a second before he opens them back up to look at charmander with puffy cheeks*
L: Charmander nods to Cyndaquil, his own cheeks puffed as well, and begins swimming down to help the others.
S: *Cyndaquil quickly follows, he yelps out some bubbles in fear at the depth, so he clings onto charmander in a tight hug to try and calm himself down as they swim deep*
L: Helioptile looks up at the two with a "fearful" expression, covering his mouth. By now, he and Togepi have each needed to get air from Moltres, making their face red from strain. Charmander keeps swimming toward them, increasingly nervous about the depth.
S: *toegpi's eyes widen at the sight of charmander and Cyndaquil swimming down to "rescue" them, she too look at them with a "fearful" expression and covered her mouth....Cyndaquil however is slowing down a bit as he's getting too scared, maybe if he saw moltres's face in a pleading way too, he would build enough courage to continue*
L: Moltres is clearly "scared" as well, "nervously" looking up at the two with a wing wrapped around his beak to hold it shut.
S: *now noticing how much trouble moltres is really in, Cyndaquil gives a determined look and swims down faster, wanting to rescue his idol badly even tho his own face is starting to become red*
L: Charmander's face is going more red too, but he keeps swimming down, moving to help Moltres get the ropes off first... Except, he quickly realizes they aren't actually tied. "Whblat!? Mmm!" He quickly covers his mouth.
S: "Whablt??! Mmm!" *Cyndaquil quickly covers his mouth too and shakes his head*
L: Helioptile smiles as he easily shakes himself loose, then points to the surface, he and Moltres starting to swim back up with Charmander soon following.
S: *togepi and Cyndaquil soon follow up after togepi shakes herself loose, it was quote the long swim up but thankfully everyone makes it up to the surface ok, togepi and Cyndaquil gasping for air*
Cyndaquil - "You mean to tell me that this whole time you were FAKING IT?!?!"
L: Helioptile gasps. "Y-yep, we were perfectly fine!"
Charmander: "W-why, though!?"
Moltres: "Well... Had to convince you to go down there somehow, right?"
S: "Awww you tricked us!! Can't believe that ugh!"
Togepi - "Hehehehe.... there, now it's safe to say they have completed their training"
Cyndaquil - "Finally!!"
L: Helioptile: "Yep, you two are finally free to go, we won't bother you any more!"
Charmander sighs. "About time..."
Moltres: "I suppose that means I'm done here as well, right?"
S: "No!! I don't want you to leave moltres! Not so soon!!"
L: Moltres: "I can stick around, I don't mind. Have you guys got anything planned?"
Charmander: "I do still kind of want to swim with you for a while... Just on the surface, though."
S: Cyndaquil - "Same here to be honest with you..."
Togepi - "Sounds like a nice idea"
L: Helioptile: "Yeah, that's gonna be a good way to relax after all that."
Moltres: "Perfect! Let's get going, then!"
S: *Cyndaquil and togepi then swim on the surface with moltres*
L: After a little while of swimming, Moltres pauses for a moment. "...Just felt something brush past my talon..."
Helioptile: "And I felt something on my foot, yeah..."
Charmander: "I didn't feel anything... Are you guys just doing the fake peril thing again to try to make us go underwater?"
S: Cyndaquil - "Ha! I am not falling for that again!"
Togepi - "No I think were serious! I just felt something brush past me too..."
L: Helioptile: "Maybe it was just a random fish..."
Moltres: "I hope so, I really don't like- AH!" Without warning, or a chance to get a breath, Moltres is suddenly pulled underwater!
Charmander: "Yeah yeah, play it up all you want..."
S: Cyndaquil - "Come on, that looks so fake!"
Togepi - "Whoa! I-i whoa!" *togepi without a chance to get a breath gets pulled underwater as well!*
L: Charmander: "Yep, of course. Now watch, Helioptile's gonna go under too."
Helioptile quickly looks around, starting to panic as he takes a deep breath just in case. Sure enough, he's quickly pulled down too!
Charmander: "Yeah, there it is."
S: Cyndaquil - "Bruh... they are probably trying to trick us again, I'm not gonna fall for it...I've had enough for one day..."
*meanwhile underwater....*
Togepi - "Mmmblblbl!!!!"
L: Moltres and Helioptile struggle to free themselves from whatever it is that's pulling them down, though they still can't see it...
S: *togepi is also struggling, which wastes a lot of the trio's air and they didn't even get a good breath in*
L: Soon enough, they're all at the bottom again, and they hear a laugh as their captor fades into view; a Gengar. "Good to see you all... Guess you're actually in trouble for real this time, huh?~"
S: "Mmmmbl?!?!" *togepi looks at the gengar with fear in her eyes, which is legit and real...still trying to break free*
L: Moltres and Helioptile keep trying to get loose, but it doesn't seem to be working.
"Go on, keep struggling, all that wasted energy will make this quicker."
S: "Mmmm!!!!!!" *togepi whimpers and looks up at the surface, hoping charmanders and Cyndaquil will realize this is serious...in fact, let's check in on them*
Cyndaquil - "Theyve been down there for a while, but I'm sure it's just another trick waiting to happen"
L: Charmander: "It's honestly kind of funny they thought this would work again after literally explaining it last time."
S: "I know right?? Man... they never learn... guess we will just wait for them to give up and come back up"
L: "Probably won't take as long as last time..." Charmander floats on his back while he waits for the others to return.
S: "Mmhm" *Cyndaquil floats on his back as well, his body close to charmander as he relaxes...*
L: "Think I'm starting to warm up to just relaxing on water like this, what about you?"
S: "Well as long as I don't go under, yeah this is kind of relaxing... I'm fairly enjoying myself right now... I'm surprised the folks down there haven't given up yet, they must be really determined"
L: "Yeah, they're milking it just as much as last time... But whatever, they're obviously fine."
S: "Yep, nothing to worry about here" *the two notice a lot of bubbles coming up to the surface, which seemed odd*
L: "...That's a lot of bubbles though... They're trying harder this time, I guess."
S: "Yeah I suppose so... still ain't worried tho, I'm not about to get tricked again"
L: "Yep, let's just hang out here until they figure out we're not falling for it this time."
S: "Yep..." *several more minutes later, still nothing and the bubbles are lot more common now on the surface...if they don't figure out the trio is actually in danger, it could mean bad news*
L: Deep below, there's a flash as Moltres tries to use a fire attack on the gengar. It doesn't work, of course, but Charmander notices it. "Hang on, I think Moltres just did some kind of fire move..."
S: "Huh? What are you talking about? It's impossible to do fire moves underwater..."
L: "Well, he tried, it didn't work. Got close though... But still, he didn't do that last time. What if something really is wrong?"
S: "...I mean maybe they are trying just trying to get our attention, I still don't really buy this... maybe you could try to peek down there and try to hear what's going on?"
L: "May as well, I guess. Not like I have to go anywhere..." Charmander takes a breath and dips his head underwater, looking down... And seeing that the 3 are struggling to get away from the gengar. Charmander quickly surfaces again. "Th-they're being held down by a gengar! Like, actually this time!"
S: "Wait WHAT?!?! Nah nah please telling me your joking!"
L: "Seriously, look down there! They really ARE in trouble this time!"
S: "Oh jeez" *Cyndaquil takes a quick breath and dips his head underwater, and as clear as he can see the trio is being held down by a gengar, he even noticed dark red faces on each of them, then he quickly surfaces*
"Omg!!! You aren't joking! They are in legitimate trouble this time! And I think they already very close to drowning!"
L: "A-alright, we really do have to help them this time..." Charmander starts breathing deeply again.
S: "Awww man I don't wanna go back down to the bottom!!"
L: "Neither do I, but we don't have a choice this time... Not even Moltres can fight down there!"
S: "Ugh!!! I really don't wanna!!! But...I guess...I have too...it's moltres, and i hate for him to die" *Cyndaquil starts to take deep breathes*
L: Eventually, Charmander holds his breath and dives down, starting to quickly swim for the trapped trio.
S: *Cyndaquil takes a final breath and dives underwater as well, swimming as fast as he could down...taking charmander's hand in his for comfort*
L: Gengar looks up at the two new Pokemon coming down. "Oh, look, it's not just gonna be you guys down here! Wonder how long these ones can hold their breath...~"
Helioptile and Moltres look up as well, watching the others come down with pleading, strained expressions.
S: *togepi looks up at them too with a pleading expression*
"Leblave thblem alblone!!!!!" *Cyndaquil was shocked that he just spoke underwater like that, but doesn't care for the moment*
L: Gengar: "Haha, you sound so stupid down here! Go on, keep talking, let all your air out!"
Charmander slows for a moment as he tries to think of some way he could drive off the gengar...
S: "Grrrrr!!" *meanwhile Cyndaquil gets frustrated with the gengar, also trying to think of some way to save the trio*
L: Charmander rushes forward and tries to claw at the gengar, but his hand just passes through them.
Gengar: "Ah, too bad... You know how normal-type moves are against ghost types like me~"
S: *Cyndaquil shakes his head, then tries to launch a fire type move at gengar, somehow he managed it even underwater*
L: Gengar: "W-wait, what!?" He tries to avoid it, but it hits him dead on. With his focus broken, the force holding the others fades away, letting them move again!
S: YEBLS!!!"
*togepi now notices that she and the others are free, she smiles and swims up and hugs Cyndaquil tightly before swimming up to the surface*
L: Gengar pouts as he watches everyone swim up. "Fine, whatever. You're lucky I can only grab you like that if you don't see it coming..."
S: *Cyndaquil stops while still in sight of gengar*
"Na na nbla nabl na!!!!" *then he continues swimming up with the others*
L: Gengar rolls his eyes. "Oh, shut up..." He fades into a shadow and disappears.
It doesn't take all that long for everyone to reach the surface again, all 3 Pokemon that had been trapped gasping when they get there.
S: *Cyndaquil gasps as well*
Togepi - "You saved us! For real this time! You outta be proud of youselfs!"
Cyndaquil - "Heh heh..."
L: Charmander: "Sorry we thought you guys were just faking it again at first!"
Moltres: "I don't blame you for thinking that, we HAD just established we'd previous done that."
Helioptile: "Glad you eventually figured it out, that wasn't gonna end well..."
S: Togepi - "We understand, your forgiven"
Cyndaquil - "Yeah sorry... man what a day...and this town is still flooded!"
L: Moltres looks around at the flooded town. "Yeah, this is awful... I'm gonna stick around and do what I can to help out."
Helioptile: "Same here..."
Charmander: "...You know what? Think I will too."
S: Cyndaquil - "Same here to be honest"
Togepi - "Yeah I wanna help too!"
L: Helioptile: "Alright, let's see what we can help with around here!"
Moltres: "I'm sure there's plenty of work to get done..."
S: Cyndaquil - "I'll try and not be so lazy about this"
Togepi - "Hehe!"
