The "Morningtown Sleeper" is an overnight passenger train that leaves from any terminus station and travels long distances to Morningtown or similar cities or towns. It's an overnight sleeper train where there are relief drivers and firemen (off-sider second man for diesel locomotives) to take over the other crew of the locomotive to drive the locomotive through the night.

Travel speed for "Morningtown Sleeper" is followed by the speed limits though the average max speed is 120 km/h to 145 km/h (75 to 90 mph); to allow comfort for the passengers.

In this scene, DS38 N.o 83847 2-8-4 is travelling along the mainline to Morningtown as the passengers are asleep in the sleeper carriages as she speeds along the line.
