Jack (human) and Rodney (lycaenops) are on the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, New York in 2009 in what I'm calling for now as the Unity or otherwise as the United Republic.
Buffalo is the state's biggest city due to New York and Long Island being nuked in 1990.
Both characters will play a large part in the actual story for at least the first main story set in 2010.
Also their basically in the same sort of relationship that Valois and Goober are in too.
