I have to point out that if Fluttershy is sized here like an average human woman, then that's one huge deer. Most deer are quite small. Although I suppose it could be an elk. Elk are technically deer after all. But that's just a small critique, overall I really like this drawing.

Maybe some high-level unicorn like Starlight Glimmer sent her back in time to the pleistocene to encounter a creature known as the Irish Elk or Giant Deer. They were among the largest deer ever to roam the planet.
Or perhaps said unicorn brought the creature to the present so they could study it and save it from extinction.
