I want to share a silly project of  turning an old broken bicycle into an electric moped! However, I ran into a component shortage problem. This is what I need:

-Battery (2x the ones used in a hoverboard) - 2 x 1600 rub.

-Motor controller (I will make it myself)

-Gas handle - 550 rub.

-2x Bicycle tube for 26" wheels - 2 x 280rub.

- Chain sprocket for 9 teeth - 1000 rub.
In total this is around 5000rub ($56 but thanks to Hippolink fees - $70)

I will still receive these components. And your donations would really help me get them faster. So if you feel generous or want to support me - help me get these items ;) And don't forget to PM me your character - I'll render something for you!

Put a cover/guard on that chain interconnect. ... i'm telling you this from experince... you do not want that thing to catch your pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On an aside ..

You can get a oneway click sprocket for the electric motor. you can use this to keep the medals you'll find it helpfull on hills or low power rides.  i used to use one on my trike. worked greate to bad the chain size i chose did not like the tlex in the frame at all good idea using 2 part stepdown kind of makes my sproket usless but i can see how it could still be implemented with alot of prethought and prep *Basickly you'd have to make the pedal shaft the one way brabber."

i wish you luck.. dont charge any lipo's near anything they can burn.

I'd recommend a nice sand bottom metal container away from the house Remember you cant put out a lithium fire with watter or Co2 best you can do is cover it in sand and move it away from more fuel. :)

But at the least ya use a metal tub with desent sized walls and an airgap away from walls or other items. odds are you'll never need it but if you do you REEEEELY need it. put sand in the bottem this will spread the heat  keep enough sand where you can dump it on top preferibly like a pull cord or something. and whatnot.

i only recomend this big of a whops box for large battery packs 5 cells and above. remember to use a protecton circuit and put some thermisters inbetween each group.

it just use a nicad or more ridged battery system.

yes i've had a pack go thermal runaway.  more like a few packs in my early days of learning how to setup these things.
back then the protection stuff wasn't easily avalible and documentation lacked anything to do with what the battery did while charging just a voltige and max amprige.

Nowadays they know that all lipo's will eventuily vent some. they can get hotspots as they age so try not to fast charge them unless you've built up eather 1 a Whops box away from anything flamabul. or 2 designed a proper multipoint thermister and venting system to get rid of the Hydregen and keep the battery well below it's max input after it's at 70% full charge

Pretty impressive what you wanne do  :) using The battery of a hoverboard very clever 😆😁 Two batteries Of Those should be Enough Power🤔🤔🤔

For beginning, yes. I will have to rearrange batteries to turn it from 36V to 24V (motor is 24V), and at the end it will be 6S46P configuration - 24V 12A/h. But the motor can consume up to 25Amps of current, so running it on full power will discharge this battery fast or even may damage it

mmmmmmmh well discharging the battery might be the bigger chance if the motor takes the full power :3

Yes, but also exceeding maximum allowed current makes batteries degrade faster plus they're heating up. This hightens the chances of damaging them. My battery will be able to deliver 12amps with peak of 18amps. Exceeding this will be damaging them

You can get wheels with built in motors in the hub. I made an electric bike using a 1000w motor hub and it goes 45kmph. No issues almost 5000km in

I already have e-bike with a motor wheel. This one - is just  project for fun

Главное самому не быть мопедорасом, рассекающим на скоростях по тротуару и прущимся с ним в транспорт :)

Не не не, я вело пдд всегда соблюдаю. Да и к тому же этот огрызок вряд ли вообще когда в городе побывает

It's starting to get colder out. How is this project doing?

На улице начинает холодать. Как продвигается этот проект?

well it did not meet my expectations. Firstly - I might need a better ESC and microcontroller. Plus the battery I had was counterfeit with 70% less capacity than specified. But even with that - I'm too heavy for it. Maybe I'll adapt it for my sister while she's lighter than me

As long as you put a chain guard on it, that might work.
