Would it still be called facture in a digital art piece? I suppose it could be. There are parts of this image that make my eyes linger. Twilight's hair has such a multi-layered line quality. The colors blend for unity and fight for dominance. I didn't even know you could achieve that sort of painterly quality in SAI, despite the program's name. I thought for a moment that this was done in traditional media. Pictures with Twilight tend to make me smile anyway, but this is just wonderful.

It's a lot of my private little tricks a lot of just plain time poured into it. Painting is singlehandedly my favorite stage, especially after coloring is put down. This is a combination of SAI, Photoshop, and ArtRage. The cute genuinely painted look is provided by ArtRage as the last step and a lot of learning the program and the look and feel of the tools in each one.
