Going down a route in search of more partners to add to his Pokémon team, Pheagle was feeling confident, after having purchased an exclusive new type of "one of a kind" Pokéball from a back alley vendor in Lumiose City. As he moved to sneak up on a group of wild grazing Pokémon, he carefully aimed it and gave it a hard throw toward a Dedenne. But instead of capturing it, the ball surprisingly bounced ineffectively, right off the the small skittish Pokémon's head, before it turned and fled away.
The ball however, hadn't finished moving and shaking in place. it shook three times as Pheagle watched, before it opened up, to reveal a strange bubbling goo seeping outward.
Instantly, Pheagle's expression shifted to shock and confusion. A splash of the lavender-colored goo shot out towards him from the open ball, and quickly spread and clung to him, as it begin to pool down his now increasingly hefty, slippery body.
