A friend of Elyssa's throughout her school years, the two seemed inseparable. Wherever Hazel went Elyssa was sure to follow, and much could be said for the reverse. Elyssa convinced Hazel to get into cheerleading and gymnastics in middle school, in turn Hazel convinced Elyssa to take up more dancing lessons. Of the two though, Hazel was far more artistically inclined while Elyssa was the scholar. As close as the two were, time brings change to all things.
After graduation the two went their separate ways, Elyssa to West Virginia to work on a geology degree and Hazel to UCLA to major in dance and music. The two would keep in contact, but distance certainly strained their relationship. It was during her college years she found a knack for ballroom dancing, eventually taking it up on a professional, competitive level. When her best friend announced she was to be married, she enthusiastically agreed to be maid of honor. Today she enjoys competing at the highest levels and popping in every once in a while to dote on her "niece".

And yet another character is added to my cast of characters, this time thanks to seskata. Been looking to snag one of her rat girls for a bit now, and everything finally aligned!
As for her backstory, I've been ruminating on the fact that I haven't delved too deeply into Elyssa's history and life. I know she's a California girl. I've come up with her parents and several relatives, even if they remain in an unpublished state. But until now, she's had no actual friends and no real history behind her before Rorick. Not a particularly deep creation, if I'm being honest, even with all I've already done with her. So here's one piece into fixing that up.
