Someone once told me I do a LOT of canine art. I took that as an idea that I do too MUCH canine work. So....having been disappointed in 002's collie design, I decided to, once again, redesign Android 002. This time, I decided to throw her into a weasel body. The reason why, is because I was experimenting with a more feline design, but saw that her neck was too long for a cat. Rolling with a few thoughts, and after remembering this one character from the Animal Olympics cartoon, I shifted focus, and made 002 into a weasel, rather than a feline. I wanted to try and go for a species I never drew before, this is the result. What do you think? Should I try something else? Or does this form work? She is still a companion android, still there to help whoever has her to feel loved and cared for, just...a weasel.
And I know, the character in Animal Olympics probably was not a weasel, I haven't done my homework on her, but she was a factor in this concept.
