Ever the studious bibliophile, Charm loves to read and learn a subject any chance she gets, one of her major topics of interest being humans. They used to live alongside us, but now they were little more than myths or legends. Yet, there was always something about their stories that drew Charm: how humans changed the world and touched those around them, transforming them for the better or the worse. She even was interested in the stories of Pokémon who claimed to be human entering the world and becoming heroes. Obviously she knew it wasn’t possible for a Pokémon to have previously been a human, they were just taking on the mantle as a way of showing how influential they were. It certainly seemed arrogant, but she couldn’t help but find the metaphor appropriate in a number of these cases.

And then she met him. The peculiar Mareep who appeared out of nowhere, claiming to have once been a human himself. He was every bit what she’d come to expect from a “human turned Pokémon”, and yet… There was a feeling about him she couldn’t really shake. After some coaxing, she realized this was her opportunity to experience what was written herself, to explore the world described in her books and learn more about these humans.

As she got to know her new teammate, Charm found his demeanor annoying, such as how he would constantly kid around and find ways to pester her. She was a more serious person herself, and humans were supposed to be paragons who shifted the natural paradigm, yet here Lemmy was, a carefree, adorable goofball. Not really certain where the adorable part came from, but Charm did her best to chase that thought from her mind… until her curiosity got the better of her and she met with Lemmy late one night… and she certainly learned a lot more about him. Intimately.

Her goal was to go out and explore the world with Team Eggstreme, to learn. That is going to be difficult to do now that she’s gravid. Mistakes were made, and all the theoretical knowledge in the world won’t keep you from making life-changing choices. Charm was frustrated at herself for her lapse of judgement, but she was even more irritated with Lemmy. It’s not like he has to deal with the inconvenience himself; instead he makes things worse by insisting on further pestering her even while she’s trying to read! Yet he was also very sweet… and supportive… and… loving? She hated to admit it, but his antics were a bit funny and endearing… at times. This wasn’t what she had planned on, but… she couldn’t help but think she was still somewhat happy with this outcome, that she’d have chosen to make the same mistakes all over again. And it helps that when Lemmy gets on her nerves, she can always give him a good dose of fire; it’s cathartic, even if it doesn’t do anything to make him less annoying.”
