This is Trisha's mentor, Johnathan Crysis (yes, his last name is misspelled on purpose). He is a old prodigy when it comes to combat, and he was once the leader of the Neo-Mobian Elite. He lost his left arm and left eye when on a mission with Trisha, where they were both sent into a discovered lab belonging to Alter's followers. Even though he appeared to have died in the explosion, he did survive. He later made connections with Aurora's mentor, Jeddah, and went undercover into the Alter cult, posing as a man who wanted to destroy the world. Fortunately, because of some enchantments by Jeddah, Crysis was able to convince Alter that he was switching completely to the darker side. Crysis does not hurt innocent people, even as part of the cult, but he does destroy things. Example: He'd be instructed by Alter to eliminate a village of innocent people. While Alter was not looking, Crysis would evacuate the entire town before destroying it.
Yeah, Johnny Boy has done questionable and cruel things, but when it came to the innocent people themselves, he wouldn't lay a hand on them. He does manage to assist in the downfall of Alter and the cult.
In previous versions of "Frozen Tomb" (Zeex's mission story), post-Alter John Guy has been tricked into going into city that has frozen over. He heard a distress call and went in with a whole team, only to get trapped inside and forced to survive until someone could break whatever is keeping them there. This story, spoiler, is a story that reveals that Alter did not die, and was plotting ways for his revenge to happen. He does escape the city with Zeex, and remaining members of his team.
Crysis is very serious about his work. He is also my first aro-ase character. That is right, Johnathan does not have a lover, does not want a lover, and is totally uninterested in anything having to do with sex.
Now, I know there's going to be people out there who will be thinking I named him after Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077. This is not true. Johnathan Crysis has been a character of mine for a VERY, VERY long time. I was about 11 years old when creating him in the first place. Crysis always had that cybernetic arm, he was always a shady character with questionable methods of doing his job, and Silverhand came LONG after. I'm also not going to say Cyberpunk ripped me off, I'm just gong to say the similarities are just a coincidence.
