Easter Sunday 2024
Mother's Day 2024
This is part of a progression pic series for Maple's third pregnancy. She'll be 10 weeks pregnant here.

Let's be honest; pregnancy isn't always joyful and happy. It has its own downsides too, just like what happened this morning (April 24th, 2024) for instance. Maple has been peeing (and pooping) more often than usual due to being pregnant, which means she's been needing to have her diaper changed more frequently than usual. So this morning, she decided to try using the toilet, and surprisingly, she was able to pee in the toilet with no trouble at all.

Not long after she finished using the toilet herself, Maple heard knocking coming from the door. She answered it, and it was her son Marcus needing to go really badly, so she quickly placed the potty seat onto the toilet, sat her son down onto it (with diaper down around his legs, of course), and in no time at all, he started peeing in the toilet, with Maple praising him for doing so.

In an alternate pic, however, Marcus had forgotten to take his diaper off before sitting down on the toilet and so, as a result, he winds up peeing in his diaper instead of the toilet. Maple notices this, but decides she'll change Marcus' diaper as soon as he's done.

I apologize for this not being finished yet. I needed to get this out right away. But don't worry. It'll be properly finished ASAP.

UPDATE 5/5/2024: Did a huge overhaul of this submission as I felt that the original image posted here was a big mistake. Please don't ask what it was; I don't wanna talk about it.
UPDATE 7/2/2024: Added "Morning Potty Break" to the title of this submission.
UPDATE 7/14/2024: Replaced Rough Sketch with Fine Sketch and added sounds and a speech bubble too, along with an alt of the second pic that has a thought bubble in it.
UPDATE 9/2/2024: Replaced Fine Sketch with Lineart; only coloring left for it now.
UPDATE 10/3/2024: Replaced Lineart with Finished images. Again, I apologize for not finishing this in time for its target date.

Potty training (despite looking very easy to the average adult) is a learning process and it is not uncommon for the one who is learning to make the occupational mistake like the one in the most recent frame along the way.

With any luck he’s far enough along to realize his mistake and be able to say something like “uh-oh” or “oops” and remember how to do it next time.

If she changes the word “in” to “on” it’s technically correct (grammatically speaking) in both the second and third panel. Also, in the third panel the alternative phrasing would give her a gentle way to correct him after he finishes making his mistake and before changing him.

Her current phrasing is good for this occasion which seems to be the first time that Marcus is making this mistake but she might keep this in mind in the event that Marcus makes this mistake again at some point in the future. From what I remember of my own training (in the late 1970s to early 1980s) it is not uncommon to make mistakes like this one a minimum of two times (sometimes even three or more).
