Maya is normally an absolute sweetheart, but unlike her mother, she has a temper that can be downright ruthless when triggered. One quick way to piss her off is to hurt Itzy, even if it's only an accident.

Pacha accidentally hurt Itzy while they were playing, and Maya went ballistic. All Pacha could do was run until he made it to the Emerald shrine where Knuckles was guarding the Master Emerald, and even though he knows he's going to get a lesson on being more careful, at least he knows his dad will keep Maya from tearing him to shreds.
