We’ve seen Jesse and Paul, along with their usual admirers. But there’s two special girls they each know who have a more unique connection to them. Their dear friends Lucille and Julie, their friends from a nearby house who harbor a crush on their respective guy. While normally they each can’t say what they really feel, the girls get some major personality changes after running into… The Mask.
Yes, THAT Mask. Not sure why it’s not with Stanley Ipkiss anymore, but it’s magic. So who knows why really? Anyway, once they put the Mask on, they become their amorous alter-egos Luci and Juliette. Jesse and Paul had better watch out, cause when the sun goes down… it’s date time~.
Lucille/Luci: A sweet but shy little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who happens to be one of Jesse’s closest friends. However, she’d much prefer to be a lot more than that. Unfortunately for her, she’s simply far too timid and easily shaken to just tell him how she feels. That is, until the Mask comes on…
Once she dons the ancient relic, she becomes her more daring persona Luci. Whereas Lucille is quiet, nervous, and easily frightened, Luci is loud, confident and a great big tease. And once she sees Jesse, her first instinct is to smother him in lots of hugs and kisses from her cartoonishly enlarged lips.
Lucille: “H-Hey Jesse. Do you want to um… maybe hang out? Ah mean, if ya ain’t too busy…”
Luci: “Don’t run away, sweetie. Ah’ve got some special TLC to give ya~.”
Julie/Juliette: A sweet and adorable kitty who (for some reason) has a massive crush on Paul. Unfortunately for her, she’s also an easily angered tsundere who keeps getting into arguments with him. While Paul himself enjoys the arguments, Juli would much rather their relationship be more like an actual couple. Unfortunately, she can never just admit to him her true feelings…
Juliette on the other hand is a different story. Due to the Mask removing all of her inhibitions, she’s an absolutely unrestrained romantic. Whenever she’s out and about, her only goal in mind is finding Paul and smothering him in affection. Usually via her stretchy mouthed kisses and tight air-robbing hugs.
Julie: “Paul, you are such an obnoxious insufferable jerk! And why… why can’t I just tell you how I really feel?”
Juliette: “Oh, you are the most foul mouthed, rude, inconsiderate, mean-spirited JERK I’ve ever met! And I LOVE that in a man! Gimme some sugar, baby~!”
