Footwear exists in Catverse! While most people go barefoot, many still like footwear fashion! You'd still get service in public if you had your paws out!
Career-wise, it depends on the job whether or not you are required to wear footwear. For people like Scooter and Frank, as cops, they are required to wear footwear on the job for protection(I did not draw it here, but it's similar to the top 2nd!).
I imagine some brands don't follow the open-toed norm, some are more like barefoot shoes or toe socks!
