This artwork was supposed to be released directly on March 31st 2024 to commemorate the Easter Sunday, but coincidentally enough, it's within the Islamic month of Ramadan. This is also a full-shot portrait featuring one of my original characters, Laylah Al-Naquin, provided with a brief story behind it.
Laylah, an ordinary Muslim rabbit girl, was excited to celebrate Ramadan, a Islamic month where the healthy followers devote themselves by fasting from dawn until sunset before having nightly feast. However, in the city filled with diverse peoples, she was bound to get dragged in by Christians and those seeking to capitalize on Easter eggs, given that she was very well liked and well known, much to her discomfort.
While she was allowed to bring herself a Fanous lantern, she was tasked to give out each Easter egg to every house in her neighborhood. Despite having done this annual activity for three years, she was clearly nervous in doing a job, though most people were kind and patient enough to let her be. Nevertheless, she went off without a hitch.
However, at this point, she was supposed to give one last egg to a young neighbor, instead she got poured over at the door by a fallen bucket filled with mixed powder of blue and yellow. She knew how mischievous this youngster could be, especially with pranks involving spices, but she never expected this to happen on Easter Sunday. The youngster admitted to have stolen from both Aaron Matthews and Venus Sianna, whose powders contained magical properties. In this case, it was a mixture that made an temporary Buff-Up with an extremely brief moment of aggression as a side effect. But because she unknowingly inhaled some of it, Laylah began feeling the series of muscle aches until she became a hulking giant (not really that giant though). However, not even the youngster expected this to take effect, for he simply wanted to do a harmless prank, but the angry rabbit had none of it and came after him, but after few minutes of making a mess in a wild goose chase, she finally calmed down and decisively helped the youngster clean it up. The two immediately reconciled and called it a day, and Laylah went home trying to hop on her way without causing too much a ruckus, leaving behind only deeper footprints with big cracks, and a crashed sedan by accident. Also, a Buff-Up had lasted until dawn, turning her back to her normal form, much to her relief and additionally to her dismay over her torn clothes.
