Oh Xiao is no joke ehe, and I'm glad you remembered Luka's B-Day! I've been real busy with school but I've been trying to get a bit of drawing in whenever I can. Xiao has been on my mind since forever so I'm glad to finally have his design in a more concrete state.

Well, I guess I do wonder, just what prompted them to want to go through with being trans in the first place. It isn't every day that you just, wanna change your own gender. I could think of a couple things, but was it one certain event, or was it multiple? Do they often get bullied for what he wants to do with his life? Do people even know, or was it a slow transition? Did people even notice what was going on? IT seems like they got under the horomone stuff at the right time for people to notice, so just how young were they to be able to switch genders like it wasn't anything at all?
They seem like an anarchist. Is there any truth to this hypothosis?
Do they honestly love Luka, or are they just unable to express themselves because of everything that's going on. I know it's a bit, crass and rude, but I do worry about the whole "I do things my lover would hate to show some sort of feelings towards them." trope. But, is there any moments where they reel back and show some genuine love to Luka?
Does he have any favorite things, meals, shows, clothes?
I guess to get something perverted out of the way, does he just like, ever dream about being with Luka? Like just feeling so pensive, alone in his bedroom, just wanting to at least be with this titty kitty in some romantic sense as they both bring chaos to the world.
Oh god, what about the therapist. Does he ever have anything to say about the two of them. Just how much does he have to deal with Xiao in the first place. Prying them off of each other, or just having discussions with the both of them about proper management of emotions and bullshit like that.
Oh, something I've also wondered is just how much the Therapist actually has in Luka's life. Does he ever "hang out" with him? Or is he just within the whole "school ecosystem" that Luka and Xiao has to deal with.
I guess something more personal, is how far are they along in their transition? Are they happy with his body?
Oh and sorry that I'm saying "they" a whole lot when referring to Xiao. It's not like I don't understand that he is he, but like, with how much him and Luka seem to fit together, it's kinda hard to remove the two of them from each other. Like..Mngh. Well, I love how Xiao is trans, I was honestly so happy that you actually went through with making that supposed trans character a reality! Xiao is just so wonderful and perfect all at once! Fitting with just this whole world you've got going for yourself!!!

1)I imagine that Xiao's urge to transition was something innate. A deep visceral disgust with the reality that he was assigned female at birth. He probably caused a huge fuss for his parents pretty much the instant he became aware of the gender he was told to be. It definitely happened really early in his life, Luka has only ever known Xiao as a boy. The latest I can see Xiao having transitioned socially would be around the first or second grade of elementary school. None of the students in their current school is aware that Xiao is trans. Staff probably does have medical records about it, but the area Luka and Xiao live in is progressive enough to keep that sort of stuff confidential. His social transition was probably something he really easily grew into, most people probably have trouble imagining he was ever seen as a girl. He strives to be an "ideal" son, even if it requires sacrificing who he really is.
2) Xiao probably isn't an anarchist(currently) due to his deep belief in societal hierarchy, he thinks that things in the world are the way they are for a reason—good or not. He effectively plays by the world's rules and uses them to gain an advantage over others. He does find this reality as something reprehensible, and he wishes things could be better. So I could see him becoming a lot more left wing and libertarian about his worldview once he gets to grow up a bit.
3) Xiao's affection towards Luka is genuine, but it's something of a mix between admiration and jealousy. He's always been jealous of Luka's honesty as a person. Luka is stubborn, he fights with others in order to get them to acknowledge his true self, even if he's often unsuccessful. When they were friends they were basically inseparable and could talk about literally anything between each other. Xiao developed something of an unhealthy emotional dependence on Luka, the only person he felt he could truly open up to. Xiao regrets that he's had to hide his trans-ness from Luka for this long. Xiao slowly but surely began to build up the courage, waiting for the right moment to tell Luka. The dread that came from the possibility of rejection was more than enough, he couldn't guarantee an outcome and it terrified him. Once he realized that Luka had the gall to keep a secret from him, Xiao knew he couldn't ever fully trust Luka. His reasons are pathetic, petty and childish. But that's fitting for what he is.
He disassociates heavily to harm Luka, it's just another mask that he has to wear, one that'll punish boob boy until he wises up and begs for forgiveness. There will be moments where the mask will slip, Xiao isn't as perfect as he seems to be.
4)Some of Xiao's favorite media involves the paranormal or esoteric, he enjoys them because of their supernatural nature, the idea of being connected to a realm beyond with what is normal is something that sounds liberating to him. Strategy video games are also quite fun to him for the control that they offer to the player. He basically either prefers being completely in control of something or completely out of his scope.
For his food preferences, I imagine his pallet would appear very standard at first, he'll eat whatever is offered to him. But ppersonally xiao prefers a mellow umami sort of flavor, and generally dislikes extremes of spicy or sweet.
He doesn't own very many toys, and he won't play by himself. He doesn't ask too much of his parents. As for clothes, he prefers not to show his background of wealth unless it's absolutely necessary, he'll pick clothes from high quality brands that appear the most "normal".

5) They've had special moments together, they were VERY close when they were friends. It wasn't something either fully understood back then, but there were sparks. Xiao probably thinks back to the moments when it was just him and Luka. Slumber parties where they stayed up late together to play a game or to just talk about weird personal thoughts that they wouldn't say to anyone else. Early mornings at the gymnasium. The few times Xiao had convinced Luka to try camping so they could stargaze on their lonesome.
Xiao has probably imagined more intimate scenes in his mind when it comes to Luka. Part of him wishes he could keep Luka as his own forever. Luka is very touchy about gay relationships for his own reasons, while Xiao doesn't care about what labels others would put on him, as long as he gets to be by Luka's side.
I personally could see them as a couple when they grow older, but not one that would last forever LMAO.
6)Eli isn't assigned to Xiao, he masks his issues way too well for the school or his parents to really figure out how much he's suffering. I imagine Eli has to put up with Luka venting constantly about xiao and his antics, Eli probably finds the discrepency between Luka's stories and Xiao's clean record to be quite weird.
I imagine Xiao doesn't like how close Luka has gotten to Eli, there's no doubt he's keeping an eye on the counselor.
7)I do like the idea of Luka actually hanging out with Eli after school. It's something he isn't super comfortable with, but he allows due to how concerned he is about Luka. The pink Kitty hates being home alone, especially at night, usually he can't sleep at all when his mother has to pull overnight shifts. Staying over at Eli's for the night is an awkward alternative to insomnia.
8) Xiao has been prescribed puberty blockers, so he'll maintain the appearance he currently has until it's legal for him to start taking testosterone. He's happy with his body as it is right now. His body dysphoria is minimal and has been reduced further due to how successful his social transition has been. He's rather prideful about his appearance.
I really appreciate your interest! I've had him in my mind for quite a while, originally I wanted him to be a sort of like Vergil from devil may cry lmao. But I found it a lot more interesting to write him as a brat as well, but a different kind of brat to Luka I suppose. I hope he's interesting, and I hope I can depict him in a way that'll resonate with different folk beyond he/him pussy being particularly popular these days.
I wanna focus on more fun multi-character interaction stuff once I'm out of school so I'm looking forward to that as well.
