Bloom did not ask to be the way she is.

Iginio Straffi should have, especially during the pre-Nickelodeon era, publically stated the possibility that stories exclusively presented in the comic book adaptation might be canon-adjacent to the animated series it was based on.

Her skill as a waitress in the third episode of the fourth season is clearly a Mythology Gag reference to her part-time job during the first three seasons as presented by the comic books.

That suggests that Diaspro's teasing during events set between the first two seasons might have caused Bloom to express her worry for Stella and Brandon's safety as jealousy towards Sky's moment of courtesy towards Aisha/Layla during their road towards the underground fortress of Castle Shadowhaunt.

Even if not justified, her moments of brattiness could be best understood if you look at the bigger picture, which might require doing cross-reference between the classic series and its comic book adaptation.

Another thing that Iginio should have made clear back then was allowing the project name, which was the title of the pilot, to be formally publicized.
The pilot title was Magic Bloom.
