Silver’s situation is that he’s been kidnapped by Mephiles in this modern era AU. Due to some emergency he had to stay with Infinite and Sonic for a while.
He missed Mephiles but his master is not as caring as Infinite. He wishes he could be held and kissed like that after his torments, but that is not the case. Mephiles likes to sell him to others for money and kicks, and he dreads his next “client.”

It's so fascinating that Finny doesn't share Sonic with others, but Mephy leases his pet out. I bet it'd piss Finny off if the roles were reversed and while he had to babysit Sonic, he let some clients at him.
