I just try to imitate a redux of anime BG art, like basic shapes and how they point/scatter/fade etc. Drag tool starting from far then closer helps with grass. Also plants tend to vary in hue and are typically half saturated colors.

A stump in a clearing, with a lone kitty sitting not to leery. Woe was the pass, a trail cut into the woods to make flat landish space perfect for sporting and jogging, along with shade and energetic hums of the wild bees. He sat there, as cute as can be, no warrant on the stump to which was his very own settee. Where kitten looked, was not important, but the importance was, he was there, wholesome and golden.
