But I wanted to make this chapter a bit of a happy surprise, and felt the only way to do that properly is to have Aurora spoil the ruse. This is Aurora's first appearance as a voice. Dipper's reaction is borrowed from Charlie Brown's reaction to finding out that Sally was born.
