When I originally played Whakato he had a twin brother. His twin brother was trans masc and named Noa. In the original backstory he wasn't adopted by the king and instead made a servant of the castle. But this isn't that Noa. This Noa is also an adopted prince, next in line if anything would happen to Whakato. In my setting's history Whakato and Noa were orphans in a Kingdom called Frelia and years ago it was ruled by a human supremacist ruler, King Owyn The Tyrant, who saught to succeed from the alliance of nations Frelia has been in for 100s of years and join the facist nation of Soukar. This resulted in a 5 year long bloody civil war that ended with the king's daughter, now Queen Cara Norha III, taking the crown. Cara Norha was a anti-monarchist Queen, who used her reign to dismantle the monarchy and turn Frelia into a democracy. She also adopted 12 non-human war orphans after the war. Noa became a tiefling during this war. Noa was recieved a mortal injury on the battlefield, while he was dying the Archdevil Zariel offered him power and life in exchange for his soul. Noa accepted and became a tiefling and her champion.
