"Finally, the detectives arrived at the director’s office, after a long time of running after the restless Nika, who was interested in examining every corner of the clinic. The door with the sign "Dr. Jacob" was already in front of their noses. The old door opened with a strong and disgusting creak and the detectives and Nika had a view of a beautiful, graceful blond lion with a cane, who was leaning his hand on the table by the window.
- “Oh, I was waiting for you, the security guard has already announced new guests at the clinic, hehe.” - the director said quickly and easily. There was a hidden nervousness in his words, but it was hidden under a ton of grace, politeness and familiarity.
Nika was immediately drawn to the look of an experienced doctor in identifying breed mutations. He quickly, as if swimming, approached Thor with the little one in his arms and began to look at her, stroking her tail, feeling the undercoat on it, examining her hair and paws.
- "Such a charming girl.~ Excellent coat pattern~." - Jacob said, taking Nika by the chin, looking at the features of her face.
Thor tensed at such strange behavior of the doctor, he even felt a slight worry for the girl. Surely he won’t let her in on the carpet... All of Jacob’s strange behavior aroused in him anxiety mixed with suspicion, but he had not yet seen any evidence around him.
All the detectives fell silent awkwardly, not knowing how to react to the doctor’s behavior. Max stood aside, making a contradictory grimace, and Den shuddered in surprise, not expecting to see such a strange doctor as director.
Jacob broke the silence. He shuddered, realizing that he had not even introduced himself to the new guests, and immediately straightened up, preparing to show himself.
- "Oh, where are my manners...
I am Dr. Jacob, a doctor of science in the field of breed mutations and a psychotherapist for cubs, as well as the director of this wonderful clinic." - As he pronounced each of his titles, he seemed to glow with pride. Each lock of blond hair reflected the light around him, creating a certain aura of "light".

Thor's surprise and alarm gave way to slight irritation. He was sure that something was clearly wrong here, and something was clearly wrong with the doctor. He's kind of suspicious. Everything in his gut told him this. He clearly needs to study more about this Jacob.
Nika squeaked and trembled in fear of such a huge and strange lion director. She clung to Thor, believing that he would protect her. He actually pulled her closer to him so that the petite girl would calm down.
- “I don’t like him...” Thor said quietly and growling a little.
An answer immediately appeared from behind him.
- “Now you don’t like doctors either?” - Max said with a grin and mockery, clearly recalling his bias towards the FBI earlier.
Max did not share too much anxiety towards the doctor, but he also felt that he needed to study his case better. Something clearly strange was hiding behind the walls of this seemingly quiet, peaceful and beautiful establishment.
- “No...” - Den added in response.
- “Thor is right... We really should get to know the clinic better...” - Den said this quietly and thoughtfully. There was a mixture of anxiety and intense concentration in his voice.

Some time passed with communication with this eccentric person. Detectives interviewed the doctor about his work experience, experience in running a clinic and about the research conducted within the walls of this building. Throughout this small survey, Jacob constantly looked around at Nika, which frightened her greatly and she anxiously huddled closer to the only detective she had known most of her life - Thor. She often saw him in her village and always watched him from the side. Something drew her to him. It was as if she saw him as some kind of "father" or "protector" figure.

The interrogation is over and it’s time for everyone to go home. The working day is over for now, we need to analyze what happened. Three detectives stood outside the clinic, two of them smoking thoughtfully, silently and tiredly.
Max broke the silence.
- “Well, we’ll go to headquarters. We need to collect documents for further work. Can we entrust you with the little one? You seem to be quite good at being a nanny.” - Max said this in his classic playful and grinning manner, but this time without mockery.
- "She is reaching out to you. Who knows, maybe in a past life you were a snow leopard." - Max grinned. Still, there was a joke with some slight mockery.
Without even having time to answer, Den and Nika, who were wandering around the clinic, quickly approached, away from the smoking Max and Thor.
- "Yeah... Yes.. I think we can trust him with this... " - Den said nervously and thoughtfully, still running all the information from the interrogation over and over in his head.
- “As I understand it, my opinion does not play a role here..” - Thor answered slightly irritated from extreme fatigue, putting out his cigarette. He is ready to make concessions for the sake of the investigation and documents from FBI agents. So being a nanny for Nika for a while doesn’t sound like a very difficult job.

Den and Max went to headquarters, and Thor and Nika went to a quiet house near the forest. This was Thor's house. Apparently, Nika will have to temporarily live in the same house with the detective."
