ever since the episode where it's revealed that Dashie can do a perfect timber wolf roar, I've been OBSESSED with the idea of her being in a hardcore band as a teen/young adult.
I know that in cannon she'd probably just be in a normal Sex Pistols type of punk band, but I like to imagine her playing at hardcore basement shows where people consistently go home bleeding if they enter the pit.

You're welcome! I didn't even know that you posted much art, so when I saw this pop up on the front page it took me by surprise. Sorry if I used the terms "hardcore" and "punk" interchangeably, I do get what you mean but pardon my ignorance there.
On a related note, late last night I saw that Russia recently banned MLP FIM for promoting "non-traditional relationships." There was to be an MLP convention in Russia and the authorities literally shut it down. After I saw that, I went on a crusade and changed the wallpapers on all my devices to Rainbow Dash. What kind of world are we living in where it makes sense for countries to be banning MLP?? For a long time, I thought that kind of insanity wasn't possible in America but now I think twice thanks to the MAGA morons. In my real life I wear who I am on my shirt-sleeve so to speak, and it gets me in trouble sometimes but after dealing with an oppressive father who didn't accept me for who I was, I don't back down from it anymore.
So I guess that psychologically explains why I love rebellious young pony gals like Rainbow Dash!!! xD I always seem to be into girls that would never be into me, I guess that's part of the fantasy.

Yeah, I have a lot of mental health difficulties, so I go for long periods of time where I can't finish art, which leads to an average of 1 upload per month. It's also why I struggle to socialize to people reaching out to me. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALso probably why I'm so specific with genres of music, just, absolutely abnormal fixations on punk and metal subcultures. But it's okay, I don't expect everyone I meet to be as anal about these things as I am ^^;
For every inch of progress made, there are scores of people in powerful positions who want to pull it back miles. Usually because it benefits them in some way, and dividing those less powerful makes an uprising less likely to be successful. America actually scares me hah... The people aren't terrible, but the government and what they allow corporations to get away with is absolutely horrifying. Russia is even worse... And as for family, I can certainly understand. Being forced to stay in the closet or face eviction by an abusive stepfather did a number on my psyche, and for years I hid very significant parts of myself even while living full time out of the closet.
I'm honestly not much of a Rainbow Dash fan, but she's definitely cool, and just SUCH a gay icon.

For me, my art takes forever too but it's only because I'm so stubborn about my creative process. A creative process that can take pain-staking amounts of effort. I do suffer from mental health issues (mainly I've been diagnosed with depression since my early teen years and besides that I can get super on-edge from overworking myself at times) but they are much more manageable now than they were when I was in my late teens and early 20s. All I can say in regards to that is--Hang in there and don't allow yourself to define yourself by terms like "sick" or any other negative self-talk, that can be a big step to take. It's not you, it's the world that's messed up and you just have to stay true to yourself above all else and follow your dreams no matter how out of reach they may seem.
Don't criticize yourself for being different, criticize those who are unwilling to accept it. They are the real problem. Once I realized that, my depression has become a lot more manageable. But I'm only talking about my personal struggle of course, not saying it applies to you in any way.
Rainbow Dash is my fave pony and I like Applejack also just because they're so lovey-dovey with each other. In my head-canon I hope that they got married and stuck together for the rest of their lives after season 9, because they seem like a great fit together. I also love the whole FlutterCord romance, and I feel like Fluttershy was so kind to give a guy like Discord a chance, that was so sweet of her.

On that note, let me stray from the norm in a huge way and tell you all my favourite characters in MLP in descending order (so top is fave) 1: Tootsie Flute. Just. There's a weird connection I formed with her during my time running an askblog. She's a background pony with no personality, so I just. Got to put my own spin on her, and end up having a crush on my headcannon of her... 2: Pinkie Pie. Just. She's just like me when I'm at my most hyper and happy. We headcannon her as plural too, and Pinkamena is such a mood... 3: Fluttershy. She's a kin. 4: Spike. Oh man. As a disconnected native, Spike's gradual character arc of learning who he is and fitting in with both his pony upbringing, and his dragon heritage has always been really appealing to me, especially when Spike has to confront the negative stereotypes that ponies have about dragons... 5: Twilight Sparkle. Nerdy know it alls were our fave as a kid and they still are now. 6: Lyra and Bonbon. Putting them both together because they're totally married. They were the subject of the askblog with Tootsie Flute as their child, Lyra being the one who carried a sperm donor's seed to term. 7: Starlight Glimmer. Just. AUGH! I LOVE REFORMED VILLAINS!!! AND STARLIGHT GLIMMER GETS TO HAVE POINTS WHERE SHE DOESN'T ACT LIKE A HERO!!! Nobody gets her like I do. u u 8: Discord. Discord is best pony. We wish we were him. 9: Rarity. We love fashion, and she does too. Plus our headcannon with our partner is that she grew up in an abusive household and was forced to make her parents rich using her cutie mark power, so that's why in the early seasons, she just has so many narcissistic ticks. 10: Big Macintosh. Autistic puppyboy. I love him to bits. I would smother him with kisses, omg. 11: Trixie. Another good villain turned hero. Ah... I love her and she didn't get what she deserved in that first episode. 12: Yona. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, YONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I love her so much. She's just. AH! They're definitely a couple, but I enjoy AJ's character a little bit more. I actually think that like, AJ is the most well adjusted pony in the entire show, and it makes their relationship very interesting because Dashie's just such a hothead. 16: Princess Luna. Aaa, such a cutie. Disconnected from the rest of the world for thousands/hundreds (i forget) years and needing to reconnect to modern society. It's so cool! Plus her powers are so interesting! 17: Gabby: She's cool! And I love that she defies the stereotypes that Griffons have of being mean and ornery. It's so nice when characters break stereotypes, especially because so much of MLP relies on them for character shorthand. 18: Gallus. Cool griffon. This one's just me being thirsty. 19: Celestia. I like the headcannon and mystery about her prior to FiM. Little is known about her in cannon, but I mean, it can't ALL be good. 20: Ahuizotl. If you know, you know.
