God... I'm crazy about this trio... Owo
"The FBI is rarely on good terms with regular local detectives, and this story was no exception.

Den Cooper and Max Baylor are FBI detectives. Den is known for his extremely friendly and flexible temper, he is one of the promising detectives. Max is not as flexible as Den, he is very mischievous, has a hard temper and loves to be sarcastic. But he is extremely persistent and thanks to this trait and the combination of two sharp minds, they both work extremely well and complement each other.
They were given a case of the disappearance of a small cub named Jill, who lived with her family in a small village near the forest, not far from Dr. Jacob's Clinic. This was already a series of disappearances, so they decided to transfer the case to the FBI. The detectives decided to split up to speed up their work and Den headed to the village to interview the residents, while Max went to explore the clinic and question the staff and cubs.

Cooper arrived in a quiet, nice village and began going door-to-door for a survey. All the residents talked about how they mourned the loss of the cub and felt sorry for her family, described the family itself, but they did not tell him any new and extremely useful information. It was already getting dark in the village and Den finally reached the small, modest house of the Vasercier family. The door of the house was opened by a nice woman, next to her there were two small cubs - a small snow leopard girl and a medium-sized fox boy. It was Nika, Kirk and Kirk's mom.
An FBI detective introduced the family to the story of their neighbor's disappearance, which naturally plunged the woman into shock and anxiety. From the conversation it turns out that Nika was a friend of the tillers and this was the first bright clue in the case and the red thread leading to Jill. Den kindly and responsibly asked Kirk’s mother to temporarily entrust Nika to him to help in the investigation, to which he received consent, but on the condition that he would treat her carefully, because she is very curious and restless. Den nodded and promised to be the most responsible nanny. They had a nice laugh at Dan's temporary position and headed out.
-"Oh, wait! Please tell Louis good luck! He will definitely help!" - the woman screamed after Den and Nika. He nodded approvingly and they headed towards the clinic.

While Den investigating the villagers, Max arrived at the clinic. Near a large, bright building in the middle of a dense forest, a large, tired and gloomy man stood and smoked. A detective badge flashed on his belt. It was Louis, the local detective. Noticing Max, he took a deep breath, taking the cigarette between his teeth again.
-“FBI...”-he said under his breath in an irritated voice.
-“What is an ordinary detective doing here? The case has been transferred to the FBI, please don’t get in the way.”- Max said in a tired and irritated voice from coffee withdrawal.
The detective snorted, putting out his cigarette and silently walked towards the entrance to the clinic. The FBI agent did not have the strength or desire to swear, so he also silently entered the clinic. There was clearly tension and irritation in the air, but it had not yet reached the brink. Both guys had an explosive temper, but did not want to waste time and energy on constant squabbles.

The forest had already become dark and the road was not visible at all, only the car’s headlights helped us get to the clinic. Den and Nika arrived at their destination. The little cub anxiously held the detective by the edge of his suit so as not to get lost as they walked into the clinic. There were so many amazing and unusual cubs around. Nika was at a loss from such diversity; she had never seen such breeds and races. The surprise and inspection was interrupted by a sudden elongated figure in the path of a small, careless snow leopard. Nika crashed into Max and fell onto her soft spot. The FBI turned around in surprise and noticed his partner and the little cub sitting on his butt and rubbing the place of the bruise - his head.
-"Aagh, be careful, little one." - He helped Nika to her feet and sweetly patted her on the head.
Standing nearby was Louis, whom Nika clearly knew, but there was one problem... Louis didn’t know Nika.
While the FBI were enthusiastically and seriously talking, Nika ran to Louis and grabbed him tightly, making him very surprised and even slightly embarrassed.
-"The evidence just sticks to you, colleague." - Dan said politely and with a kind smile towards Louis.
-"It seems like being a nanny would suit you better."- Max added mockingly.
The detective didn’t want to show anger in front of little Nika, so he could only look extremely sharply and angrily in Max’s direction.
-"Please forgive my partner's caustic nature. We could cooperate in the investigation. At the moment, our main clue is literally in front of you." - Den said diplomatically and kindly.
Such a contrast between the two FBI agents strained the fairly tired Louis, but still, the investigation was the most important thing, and for the sake of it one could endure all the nuances.
-"We need to see the director of the clinic..." - he affectionately and kindly stroked Nika’s hair, took her in his arms and all three detectives headed towards Doctor Jacob’s office."
