Finally got around to getting a reference for Coral Current, and yes, it being possible to think he's a mare without looking too closely is very much intentional on his part, something he finds it rather fun to indulge in when he's not out diving or otherwise occupied.
Slim as he may seem though, he is startlingly strong nonetheless due to his frequent, extended dives, resulting in being in astoundingly good shape without necessarily tipping over into being outright bulky, something that comes in handy from time to time~
