Welcome to an infocard about the "Mage class" in my comic The quest for quests.
Now the mage is like the only class you can pick when you want to do magic. The problem is, that the wizzard-guild created the adventurers enchantments, and they try to keep their own art a very exclusive club. So the mage is not a real magicain, but more a class that is able to use magical artefacts and magical-essences. Therefor the mage can not realy cast a spell. It can only use already made items, with much higher effect. Therefor this class is a very limited class. Mostly limited to the size of the purse. Wich also results in few mages and most of them being nobles or other rich persons. It is rare to find a mage of poor origins. The rare exceptions are the ones, who got a very usefull magical item to concentrate his whole setup upon this.
Ooh, now this is a fascinating concept for an arcane spellcaster. It's a unique take on the idea, and a nice way to explain why someone who can use magic in any capacity might be working in a brothel in between adventures. Not to mention solving the idea of why an arcane caster, who are usually presented as not particularly athletic, might be able to withstand the rigors of the adventuring life alongside her less bookish companions. And while she might not have a lot of options to start with, who knows what opportunities the adventuring life might open up?
I love the large wand she's holding, and the swirl of power around her hand. The potions at her belt is a nice touch as well, and the whole outfit just looks spiffy as heck. That rather cheeky top with the split up the middle and the way it bares so much of her midriff is very Grace, too. (And she looks so pretty in blue.) What a lovely pic of my lovely vixen!

Well her clothes are not open in the middle. that is just a golden decorative line and not her bellyfur. Sorry for the confusion. And the open sides are called "hells window" in german. Ah, okay. It's close enough to her fur color that it was a little unclear. It looks good regardless and either way the design for her top is very cool! As for the open sides, I couldn't tell you the correct English term, either, but I have seen the style. The time and research you've put into this comic, from the clothes on up, really pays off, I think, as it makes for so many really cool touches!

Just gonna go ahead and second everything Megan said. Love the concept for the mage class here, both from the point of view of how it works as a class and how it fits into the world. Darn wizards keeping the little guy down. We'll show 'em! And even if it's not as versatile as a full out wiz, that just means you have to get more creative with it, which is good for the ol' thinky muscles. Love the outfit, too. Blue is a really nice color on her, and that is an awesome top. Perhaps a little prone to showing off a bit too much titty at times, as seen in the new page, but that's worth it for how cool it looks. And she just looks so cool here. Confident and powerful and totally badass. And probably gonna fall flat on her face in the actual adventure, but it's a nice moment all the same.
