Panel 78: A brown furred canine looking synth getting Val’s attention in class. Val is wearing a white sweater and sitting at her desk.
Caption: I had a year left from my artificer’s certification, when Nony called me during class.
Synth: Val, you have a call from one of your parents. It’s urgent!

Panel 79: A wasted Leika on the ground in the kitchen, staring up into space. She is wearing a light pinkish purple shirt while Zyn grabs her hand. A bottle of milk is leaking out on the tile.
Caption: Mommy had a breakdown and went completely catatonic. I rushed home immediately.

Panel 80: A doctor holding a tablet out to the family “When it’s time to start over…” Zyn and Val are closer to the viewer, tears in their eyes.
Caption: The doctors said the only thing that could be done was to mind wipe her and let her start a new life. All at once, our life was upside down.

Panel 81: Leika in a regression pod, pictured from above. Her eyes are closed as blue light envelopes her. A satellite dish is shooting out blue energy which is erasing her memories. A fox cub technician sits at a console only a couple feet away.
Caption: A week later, we went ahead with the procedure, and said our goodbyes to Mommy…

Panel 82: The remaining Rompers, Zyn, Val, Vasha, Vabe, and Thindel are group hugging each other, tears streaming while the children audibly cry.
Caption: It was too soon…

Panel 83: Zyn sitting on a bench, looking drab and feeding pigeons. They are wearing a flat cap, a brown jacket, tan trousers, and boots. It is winter time and the trees do not have leaves. Two pigeons are near the front of the frame staring at the viewer.
Caption: For the rest of the year, Nony just mourned. The love of their life was gone.

Does the regression pod also change the appearance? Cause it looks like her fur color changed.

It can. In this case, it reset her down to newborn and kinda changed her body's chemistry. Normally her fur turns white in the winter and when her life ended it was in the middle of the winter months.

In many cases, the persons species and sex is changed for their next life as well. This is so people can't find the person again in their next life very easily. But this process is done behind closed doors.
