What a relaxing way to spend a Saturday. Plopped down in the playpen with his baby toys while the TV plays kids cartoons in the background.
The big baby is playing with his shape sorter box. His mind deep enough in littlespace that he doesn't immediately know which shape goes in which hole. He giggles though his pacifier at the sound the plastic shapes make as they impact each other when he tries to put the wrong shape through the wrong hole.
He bangs the shapes against the openings until he happens to find the correct one. More by luck than any actual intention. He isn't really paying attention to what shapes the holes are. And without his glasses, it's all blurry anyway.
Once the box is filled, he dumps them out and starts again. He has done so twice already and will likely do it a few more times before he moves on to another toy. Perhaps his blocks or his ring stack? Or maybe the ball of yarn his mommy got him! All are fun options to him. His mind is too deep into littlespace to really enjoy his more complicated toys.
He is so engrossed in his playtime that he does not even notice how his diaper crinkles loudly under his shortalls as he shifts around. Nor does it really register as a small trickle of pee escapes his bladder, only to be absorbed into the thick padding. But that's okay. His diaper is not something for him to worry about. That's Mommy's job!
He's alone right now. But that's only because Mommy knows that her little kitten will be safe in his playpen while she prepares them lunch. After all, babies can't leave the playpen by themselves. So she knows that he will be right where she left him.

This is an adorable stream commission done by the wonderful Subdivisions!
On the occasions when I'm able to get deep into littlespace, baby toys start to become fun to play with! And being in a playpen goes a long way towards putting me in that headspace. So for me, baby toys and playpens go hand-in-hand with each other! ^w^
