Samurai Pizza Cats Reboot
Episode 1: Samurize! Speedy and Polly's Fateful Transformation
This is Little Tokyo. A town just like yours, that is, if it was inhabited by anthropomorphic cartoon animals.
Not cartoon, anime!
Oh, right. Man, times have changed since the 1990's. Well, Little Tokyo is a good place, and one of the places that is a great hangout for teens and families is the Pizza Cat, the area's best restaurant. Here, we meet our two heroes, Speedy Cerviche and Polly Esther. These two are employees who are also teenagers at Little Tokyo High. However, what they do not know is their lives will soon change.
In the high school, Polly Ester was in her gym class as she was practicing volleyball with her good friend, Franchine Chan, and some other girls. One of them being a mean kitty girl named Dee-Dee Donna.
"You sure play well, for a red-haired kitten," Dee-Dee said.
"Hey, Dee-Dee, be nice. Polly is the best player on our team," Franchine said.
"And yet, she works in that pizza joint," Dee-Dee said.
"You mean the Pizza Cat? It's a nice place," one girl cat said.
"Yeah, you possibly never tried it before," another girl cat said.
"Thanks, Betty and Kelly," Franchine said. Betty and Kelly were twins who are good friends with Polly and Franchine. Meanwhile, in another room, our other hero, Speedy Cerviche, was in kendo club as he practiced.
"I must perfect my kendo skills if I want to be as good as dad," Speedy thought. Later, in the girls' locker room, Polly was taking a shower, her red hair coming down to her back and her pink fur showing as she washed off the swear, as Franchine was in the next stall.
"So, what is it with you and Speedy? You two work at Pizza Cat and are chummy," Franchine asked.
"Speedy and I have been best friends since kindergarten. He protected me from some older kids who were pulling my tail and hair, and ever since, we played together, and one time, at summer camp, I saw how good he was at kendo," Polly said. After school, Polly and Speedy would be working at Pizza, Little Tokyo's best place for pizza, be it for after school meet-ups, birthday parties, or any other social gathering. Speedy and Polly, dressed in their uniforms of a white shirt, blue pants, yellow bandanas and gloves, and baseball caps with the restaurant logo, as they began their shift. However, soon, a dog wearing samurai armor came in, as he was injured, as he fainted.
"Is that Big Al Dente, the samurai guardian of Little Tokyo," one of the customers aske.
"Oh, dear, it looks like he's hurt," another customer said as Speedy came to check on him. Later, Speedy and Polly had him in the back as they took off his helmet and gave him water.
"Wait a minute, isn't that our boss," Speed said when Al recovered.
"Indeed, I am. Thank you for aiding me, Speedy and Polly," Al said.
"Boss, why were you running around wearing armor," Polly asked.
"Because I was fighting the ninja crows, minions of the evil businessman Seymour Cheese. But now, I am getting too old for this. Now that you two know my secret, I want to entrust you two to take my place, as samurai," Al said as he would give the two special collars with bells on it. Speedy and Polly removed their yellow bandanas and tied the collars (pink for Polly, blue for Speedy), as they looked at them.
"Does not look special," Polly said.
"True. I don't feel Samuraized," Speedy said when suddenly, the bell rang on its own, and Speedy changed. His work uniform vanished, leaving him in a blue undersuit with sleeves covering his arms and legs, and as Polly watched, she saw white armor attach onto Speedy's body, with a white helmet, with the parts covering his ears encased in gold, forming over his head.
"Whoa, how did I do that? Did I say some sort of magic word, like how one of those multicolored heroes do when they transform into their spandex suits," Speedy said.
"That is not spandex," a voice yelled as a female cat in a lab coat yelled from the pantry.
"Hey, I dont know who you are, but this area is restricted to employees only," Polly said.
"I dunno. She wasn't part of the script," Speedy said as he looked at the paper.
"And as I was saying before this feline interrupted, that is not...," the cat said. However, the camera soon cuts to later, as the cat is tied up.
"So, Speedy, what were you saying before we were rudely interrupted," Polly said,
"I was talking about how this armor appeared when I said something," Speedy said.
"Like Samurize," Polly said, when suddenly, her bell rang as her uniform vanished, leaving her in a white long-sleeved leotard as red armor attached onto her and a helmet appeared on her head.
"Whoa, that was a rush," Polly said as she looked at herself in her armor.
"Now, you two are Samurai Pizza Cats, defenders of Little Tokyo," Al said. Later, in the streets, a ninja crow by the name of Bad Bird was causing trouble.
"Well, with Big Al Dente out of the picture, Little Tokyo is ours to terrorize," the lead crow said.
"Don't think that. This episode just reached the plot twist," Speedy said.
"Indeed, as we are here to ruffle your feathers," Polly said as the two did ninja flips onto a phone booth.
"We are the new protectors of Little Tokyo," Speedy said.
"And as such, we will right wrongs and punish all evil," Polly said.
"And that means you," Speedy and Polly said in unison. The Samurai Pizza Cats are about to enter their first battle.
"Next time on Samurai Pizza Cats, a punch will be landed, another punch will be landed, a..," the narrator said when soon, the narrator, a male cat, was confronted by Speedy and Polly.
"Seriously, this is how explain previews for the next episode," Speedy asked.
"Yes, I do," the narrator cat said.
"Yeah, not going to cut it here," Polly said as she kicked the narrator cat out.
"Don't worry, folks, next episode, Polly and I get into our first battle with the ninja crows and their leader, Bad Bird," Speedy said smiling.
"That's right, and that's all we have to say," Polly said smiling.
