Okay! So this little project was fun! My friend Leo here, trying to pry his way out of his little framed world~ X3
Roughly 5.5 X 5.5 inches This was crazy fun to do. All traditional: wood, paint. Very hands-on. First I bought a little 4 X 4in canvas panel. For the idea of him popping out, I needed to make a frame myself. So, I spent a half hour at my school's woodshop cutting, gluing, stapling, clamping, and sanding this little frame around the panel. Then I got to work on painting...and this came out.
Now, I must ask... Do you like this idea? Would any of you be interested in me possibly opening up commissions for these? How much could you see paying for this?
Just curious. Enjoy everyone! I busted my butt doing this! ^^
That is COOL. The amount I would pay depends on what the materials cost you. I honestly have no idea. Some artists pay more for a box of pencils than I spend on 3 full colour commissions.

I agree. The costs to make the canvas/frame itself was $8 of material, 30 minutes in the woodshop. Then the rest was art stuffs. Hard to pin the costs though. I mean, I wouldn't want to go beyond what people would pay ^^;

$8 frame, $7 paint, and ~$30 of work? $45 sounds fair for something like that. Obviously more if it's shaded or the size is increased due to more work and higher costs all around. Purely my opinion though. I was kinda hoping more people would jump in. x3

My work is tourism-based, so I can't really afford any more big commissions this year. But if you're still doing stuff like this around spring break, I should be doing a bit better. ;3 The other factor is, I can't receive mail here, and UPS boxes have gone up in price. :(
