Happy Valentine's day, everyone! Todays all about showing those special folks in your live (friends, family, significant others, etc.) just how much you care about 'em! And also chocolate, can't forget the chocolate~
Figured I'd celebrate the holiday with a self indulgent lil doodle of Young and Tenderheart~ (Who at some point I ended up makin Young's boyfriend/daddy, haha ^^;)
So here we have both bears on a romantic lil date, snugglin' an' stargazing while wrapped up in cozy blankets and surrounded by lots of pillows ^w^.
Yes, Young is wearing one of those cheesy tuxedo shirts and yes, its actually a onesie :P
Aaand decided to do a lil mini blurb/story for it ^w^

Young knocked nervously on the door to Tenderheart's house, clutching a bouquet of roses and heart shaped chocolate box to his chest in apprehension. The purple care bear shuffled in place, a light blush on his face as he once again looked over his attire. When he’d asked Love-a-Lot for advice on what to do for Valentine’s day, he’d somewhat expected the flowers and candy. The outfit, not so much. Why she even had a tuxedo print onesie in his size he’ll never know…
Still, this was Young’s first Valentine’s and he wanted it to be perfect! So he went along with it, even if it was a little embarrassing.
His musings were cut off as the door in front of him opened, revealing the object of his affections.
“Young, what a pleasant-” Tenderheart paused mid-greeting as he spotted Young and blinked in surprise. After only a moment, an amused smile appeared on his face. Young, face still red, held out the bouquet of roses and chocolate.
“H-howdy Ten, uh, T-Tenderheart… Uhm would you do the honor of me, err, I mean, would you like to do, erm…” Tenderheart ,after grabbing the gifts, watched on with a fond expression as Young stammered, the purple bear briefly turning around to read from what looked like queue cards before turning back around. Taking a breath, Young tried again.
“Tenderheart, w-would you be my Va-valentine?” Finally managing to get his words out, Young stood nervously in front of the brownish bear, wringing his paws together in anticipation.
Tenderheart smiled and let out an amused chuckle, then moved forwards and placed a gentle kiss on Young’s cheek. The purple bear let out a squeak, as his face grew even redder than it already was.
“Why of course I will, Young. We are dating after all, silly~”. Young giggled softly in response. Of course he knew that. Part of him had just been nervous for no good reason.
“Still, thank you, this is all very sweet. Let me put these flowers in water, then we can go wherever you have planned~” Tendy planted another kiss on Young’s cheek, then disappeared briefly into his home to tend to the flowers. A moment later, the pair were off, walking through the streets of Care-a-lot towards their destination. As they walked, Tenderheart reached over to Young and playfully pat the shorter bear’s rump, causing it to crinkle softly and earning him a startled ‘Weh!’ and a blushy face.
“You look adorable, by the way~ A little silly, but adorable nonetheless.” He teased softly, making Young cover his face with his paws, much to the other bear’s delight. “And you’re even cuter when you blush~”. A trail of ‘Weh’s’ and soft laughter followed the pair all throughout their walk.
In the end, it was a very nice Valentine’s day for the both of them.They spent the whole day in the park, relaxing in each other’s company, enjoying a homemade picnic, and finishing it all off with a night of stargazing. Both bears sat together under the night sky, every single star out and shining visibly for them to make fake silly constellations out of. Snuggled against each other and wrapped in blankets to ward off the night’s chill, the pair eventually dozed off together in each other’s arms, a soft smile on each of their faces.
