I woulda struggled more if i did colours like u did instead of black and if mine had as much details as yours. This is a good piece and it feels latex-y I mostly used a painting style rather than the traditional lining and colouring, and limited myself to 3 colours Black for the base colour, a really dark grey for light occlusion/soft light, and white for hard light/shine The blue tint u see is actually from gradient mapping

yeah, latex in particular is shockingly unintuitive to render well without references. it's easy to wing it hand have it look okay, but when you study references carefully it can be absolutely *amazing*
