This is for Western Civilization Board Art Theme JANUARY - SAMURAI GIRLS: We've done ninjas quite a few times but I'm not sure we've done samurai month? We probably have but whatever I'm down for another time to do it. So let's get some lovely sword swinging ladies in DiD.

We have Polly Esther of Samurai Pizza Cats has been captured by the evil Seymour Cheese. Now she awaits rescue by her fellow Pizza Cats.

Polly Esther (Pururun) (プルルン) is the main heroine of the series. In the Japanese version, she goes under the identity Nyanki 3gou (ニャンキー3号), the only girl of the Pizza Cats. Polly battles evil with the power of love where she charms her foes in close-range of her razor-sharp claws. She plays her flute as part of her roll call.

Although Speedy is the leader, Polly does her fair share of bossing her teammates around. She has a fiery temper and a dynamic, independent personality. Polly sometimes cares about her teammates.

Samurai Pizza Cats was originally made by Tatsunoko Studios in Japan as "Kyattou Ninden Teyandee". Saban bought the rights to translate the show, and has made English, French, German, Spanish, and Hebrew dubs. The dubbed version, "Samurai Pizza Cats" was produced by Andy Thomas.

The stars of the show are three anthropomorphic cats who protect the city of Little Tokyo from crime while making a living running a pizzeria
