Was the sketcher being sketched?
Artwork from years ago, drawn by Carolyn Mitchell. I spent a lot of time with her character, Rainwing, on ScalesMUCK (along with other good friends with whom I unfortunately lost touch).
In the picture, I must have called in a favor with her because she's just watching over basilisk eggs there, waiting for my return, and sketching to pass the time.
