All of the programing/sounds/music eproms are all new with the newest coding of said eproms. And yes for those that are wondering I saved the old eproms and are placed on anti-static foam and then inside a anti-static bag. That I have then put into my Police Force cab. :)

For a moment I thought I was looking at a MAME machine with all those daughter boards, until I saw the Solenoids and massive amounts of I/O and its dedicated expansion board.
Did you have an Eprom reader to try and extract a backup of what you have? Are these burned firmware Eproms used in the machine? How did the PSU recapping go? I see shiny very modern looking Electrolytic caps there.
This is so neat. :D There was a real beauty in these machines. I'm not too familiar with them but I am familiar with old electronics and the nightmare that comes with doing repair, especially when Corrosion is a concern.

I do have a eprom burner but I bought all the eproms new from a pinball website. I wanted to keep the original Prototype eproms so I bought the up to date eproms. And yeah everything in the pinball machine is like a computer. There is the main big board that is like a Motherboard in a computer then you have the Flipper board and a Sound board and a display board too. And of course the power supply that has different voltages that will then go to the other boards And there is a board called the interconnect board where all that stuff plugs into that board then the playfield plugs into that board.

I do a lot of electronics repair. So its exciting for me to come across something that uses multiple processors and peripheral comms to interface with a machine and its physical parts. :D

The neat thing is that the Fast Pinball boards I am using for my own pinball machine pretty much uses the same boards but just much more smaller in scale. :)
