I have an embarrassing confession to make. If any of you, and I'm already sure a lot of you have already, have played the first Sonic Adventure then you'll know that the red floating hint orbs that are all over the place is Tikal talking to you and guiding you through the whole entire game, that sends you to her past as well as giving advice for boss battles. .....I never once knew that was Tikal until near the end of the game, even with the same exact voice giving it all away the whole time...I was the big stupid for not paying attention to that, but then again I was like 12/13 back at the time I played SA1.
Even very far in the past, Mobians will still wear white gloves as of they time traveled to the future to snag a pair for themselves.
The ancient orange echidna Princess who made her first debut in Sonic Adventure back on the Dreamcast days. She then later appeared in the Sonic X cartoon. Tikal was also playable as a character in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle only in the battle mode though. Other than that, Sega hasn't brought her in really any of their future Sonic games. Yes, I know it may be because she's a character that's technically (I say technically since she was able to still time travel to the future to help stop Chaos) passed away already since she's from an ancient echidna line, but Sega could have still represented her in some way. If Sega can keep Big relevant and not her, or heck even E102 Gamma, one of the best characters in Sonic Adventure, then they can do it. Sorry needed to say this. Alright moving on.
Tikal acted as both a guide to the present characters in the game as well as being the original protector of the Master Emerald which housed Chaos. She's wise for her age (Tikal is in her teens canonically, like 14/15) and incredibly nice and welcoming to anyone as far as personality goes. She'll periodically use a magical ball to send each of the characters in the game back to her past to encounter critical events during her life that either will affect their future involving Chaos or they'll meet with Tikal directly to chat with her.
I wish she was represented more, but all good. Drawing her out is good enough at least.
