You know those Ori games? Welp, I love Ori and the Will of the Wisps so much that I made a character of the same species as Ori!

Alai here is a guardian spirit, a creature infused with mystical light that protects the balance of nature. They seem to like living in forests; in this case, a kelp forest! Guardian spirits don't seem to resemble any single real life species, so Alai has a healthy mix of various amphibian, fish, and sea mammal features.

Alai means "wave" or "tide" in Tamil, if Google Translate is to be believed.
