I believe they are referring to their obsessive trying to be "politically correct" and "accepting", while blacklisting anyone who doesn't succumb to their draconian, bubbly and overly non-edgy standards.
You watch the early GDQs and the runners and guests were a lot more vocal and entertaining, now most of the time they are mostly quiet unless they are talking about the game or some non offensive story involving said game.

I'll be honest, I saw what they were doing, abandoned it as a lost cause, and basically scrubbed it from my mind. Didn't want trash to live rent-free in my head. But as the other person said, they got obsessive about being rated G. Not even a matter of political correctness, although that was certainly a factor, but advertiser-friendly at all costs, to the point where fun would no longer be tolerated, in case it made Daddy Advewtisew cwy. Say anything considered unacceptable, even harmless jokes that would pass muster at a PTA meeting, and you were persona non grata.
That was when it began, and I couldn't leave fast enough. Don't know what happened since. I suspect it didn't get better. Cults rarely do.
