Why We Never Became An Artist
Loh: As a system, we are genderfluid. But man, does it NOT feel like that.
Loh: Based on an internal conversation. Turnip and I were fronting as we usually do, and she felt that I was experiencing a lot of dysphoria. Femme headmates tend to hate me for my deep voice. Whenever I try to front, they always override my voice because basically what Sage said. But a few days ago, I experienced a new kind of headmate fuckery. H.O.S.T. saw that Turnip let me in front and was encouraging me to use my real voice to stay in practice. She fucking kicked us out and started fronting and talking all femme because she was certain that people in the hallway would hear me talking as a man, and assume that we were a cis man. This was the last straw.
Loh: Turnip and I pushed her the fuck back out of fronting. And despite being front-sick (fronting for too long, and dealing with extreme exhaustion and derealization), I spent 4 days working on this comic as a fuck you to her, and an affirmation to myself. I refuse to feel bad because of the way other people treat us.
T: Besides. The people who won't accept our genderfluidity aren't the kind of people who are going to gender us properly, even if we're perfectly stealth...
