I can't get two characters reliably in a shot. I've tried sense Early December with 3 different combinations and I've only been successful twice.

I have seen some success with Ponyv6, but none of the lora that I use for the other models will work on it. SD1.5 and SDXL are not compatible in that way. I hate to say it, but with classes and work I have to keep my prompts simple and one character. Two character shots are simply be a male version of the female character, and probably half out of frame.

When my work and school load lighten up, I will try again, but that probably will not be until June at the earliest.

I can give that a shot on PonyV6. From experimenting with prompts for other posts, there seems to be a (link)/(link) thing that might be able to get two characters. I've been able to do that with male/female MLP characters.
