I'm in the process of writing her story, but Mela here is one of Khade'grr's MANY rescued mates. Since she has a floppy ear, she was not treated very well by her own pack. Along came Khade'grr, just on his way to deal with some dispute between packs, took notice of her treatment immediately, and took her back home with him. She was happy to go, to be seen as worthy and worthwhile. She adores him with all her heart, but one fateful day, a werewolf from another world sets foot on their planet and, well, Khade'grr is just happy when the women he rescues find happiness, with or without him. Man's like Jupiter. Didn't we just discover a whole bunch of new moons? Anyway, without giving too much away, Mela comes from a pack closer to the equator, so they wear even less clothes down that way, and the translator's world doesn't do naked. She's awfully sweet, I just love her. While everyone else is panting over the translator, her very first question upon seeing him stifled in his uniform is "Ain't ye hot?" Her necklace is supposed to be like a bird skull with antlers.
